Fifty Shades Of Jujutsu
The Obsidian Throne and the Sun-Drenched Ledger
The dawn in Tokyo did not break so much as it bled through the smog, a bruised purple that matched the marks blooming across Yuji’s collarbone. He sat at the kitchen island of the penthouse, the marble cold beneath his thighs, wrapped in one of Megumi’s oversized cashmere sweaters. He was nursing a cup of black coffee that had gone cold an hour ago, his eyes fixed on the digital display of his laptop.
Megumi had been gone for forty-eight hours.
The "trip to the countryside" was a euphemism for a purge. Yuji knew how the Zenin functioned—or rather, how they used to. Even in this modern era of high-frequency trading and digital influence, the roots of the clan were buried in soil soaked with blood and archaic ritual. Megumi was currently somewhere in the mountains of Kyoto, dismantling the last vestiges of a council that thought they could dictate who the Head of the House loved.
A soft chime at the door broke the silence. Yuji didn't reach for a weapon; he knew the signature of the person outside.
"Enter," Yuji said, his voice raspy from disuse.
Choso stepped into the room, looking uncharacteristically sharp in a charcoal suit, though his hair was still tied back in its signature messy tufts. Behind him stood Nanami Kento, looking as though the very concept of a weekend was a personal insult to his soul.
"You haven't eaten," Choso said, his brow furrowing as he approached his younger brother. He placed a bag of fresh takeout on the counter. "Megumi would have my head if I let you waste away while he’s playing executioner."
"I'm fine, Choso," Yuji lied, closing his laptop. "What’s the word from the front?"
Nanami adjusted his glasses, his expression grim. "Fushiguro-kun is... being thorough. He has frozen the offshore accounts of three major Zenin-affiliated holding companies and, if rumors are to be believed, he has physically leveled the ancestral shrine where the elders were hiding. It’s a corporate and literal scorched-earth policy."
"He’s doing it for me," Yuji whispered, the guilt tasting like copper in his mouth.
"He’s doing it for himself," Nanami corrected gently. "He cannot function if he feels the perimeter is compromised. But Yuji, you cannot stay in this vacuum. Your editorial team is spiraling. There is a leak within the company—someone is feeding the tabloids stories about 'The Hidden Spouse' and your alleged 'confinement'."
Yuji’s eyes sharpened. "The leak is intentional. It’s the elders trying to force my hand, trying to make me look like a victim so the public turns on Megumi." He stood up, the oversized sweater sliding off one shoulder. "I’m going to the office. Choso, get the car. Nanami-san, I need the payroll records for the internal PR department for the last six months."
"Megumi forbade you from leaving," Choso reminded him, though he was already reaching for his keys.
"Megumi isn't here," Yuji said, a flash of the old, stubborn sorcerer lighting up his face. "And I’m not his submissive today. I’m the Head of Journalism."

The office was a hive of frantic energy when Yuji arrived. The glass walls of the Zenin-Fushiguro building felt like a greenhouse, trapping the heat of a hundred hushed conversations. As Yuji walked through the bullpen, the silence followed him like a wave. People stared—not at his face, but at the high collar of his shirt, searching for the marks of the man who owned the building.
"Back to work!" Nobara’s voice cracked like a whip. She was standing by the coffee station, looking lethal in a neon-pink power suit. "If I see one more person whispering, I’m going to start charging for gossip by the word!"
She grabbed Yuji by the arm and dragged him into a private conference room, slamming the door.
"You look like hell," she said, though her eyes were soft. "And you smell like Megumi’s expensive soap. Did he lock you in the 'special room' again?"
"Nobara, not now," Yuji sighed, sitting at the table. "I need a favor. I need you to use your modeling contacts. Find out who’s been buying the rights to the paparazzi shots of the penthouse. Someone is stockpiling images of us."
"It’s Kurusu’s old circle," Nobara said, sitting across from him. "They’re bitter. They think if they can prove Megumi is 'unstable' or 'abusive,' the board will trigger a morality clause and strip him of his CEO title. They’re targeting you, Yuji. They think you're the weak link."
"I'm the only link," Yuji corrected.
The door opened, and Gojo Satoru sauntered in, followed by Maki. Gojo was wearing a pair of opaque sunglasses and a smirk that suggested he had just committed several white-collar crimes.
"The elders are making a move on the digital front," Gojo announced, hopping onto the table. "They’ve hired a group of rogue programmers—former window-watchers—to hack into the penthouse’s security feed. They want a video, Yuji. They want to show the world the 'Red Room'."
Maki leaned against the wall, her hand on the hilt of a concealed blade. "Megumi is currently busy breaking bones in Kyoto. He doesn't know they’ve pivoted to cyber-warfare. If that footage gets out—even if it’s just you two sleeping—the scandal will tank the stock and give the elders the leverage they need to stage a coup."
Yuji felt a cold dread settle in his stomach. The "Red Room" wasn't just a place of intimacy; it was a testament to Megumi’s instability, his past, and the violent nature of their bond. If the world saw the chains, the cuffs, the way Megumi looked when he was lost in his possessiveness... they wouldn't see love. They would see a monster.
"I need to get to the server room," Yuji said, standing up. "If they’re hacking the feed, they’re doing it through the internal relay."
"I'll go with you," Maki said.
"No," Yuji said, his voice firm. "If you go, it looks like a security sweep. If I go, I’m just a husband checking on the 'private' data. Gojo-sensei, keep the board distracted. Nobara, find the source of the leak."
***
The server room was a labyrinth of humming black towers and blinking blue lights. It was freezing, the air conditioned to protect the data. Yuji moved through the aisles, his heart hammering against his ribs. He wasn't a tech expert, but he knew the layout of the penthouse’s specific relay.
He found the terminal. His fingers flew over the keys, his clearance codes—the ones Megumi had given him with a kiss and a whisper of *'take everything I own'*—granting him access to the deepest layers of the system.
There it was. A ghost program, leeching data from the bedroom cameras.
Yuji’s breath hitched. He saw a preview window on the screen. It was a recording from three nights ago.
The footage was grainy, but the content was unmistakable. Megumi was over him, his hands pinned to the headboard, his face a mask of primal, agonizing lust. Yuji could see himself—his mouth open in a silent cry, his body arching, the sheer, terrifying intimacy of the moment captured in cold pixels.
"Looking for something, Itadori-kun?"
Yuji spun around. Standing at the end of the aisle was a young man in a company IT uniform. He was pale, with thin, nervous fingers and eyes that darted around like a trapped animal.
"You’re the leak," Yuji said, stepping away from the terminal. "The elders promised you what? A seat on the new board? Money?"
"They promised me a world that makes sense!" the boy shouted, his voice echoing in the cold room. "Fushiguro is a freak! He’s a sorcerer playing at being a businessman, and he’s using you as a pet! I’ve seen the tapes! I’ve seen what he does to you! You’re crying in half of them!"
"I'm crying because I'm happy!" Yuji yelled back, the absurdity of the situation hitting him. "You don't know anything about us! You’re looking through a keyhole and thinking you see the whole room!"
The boy reached for a tablet on his belt. "It’s too late. The upload is at ninety percent. In five minutes, every major news outlet in Japan will have the 'Fushiguro Sex Tapes'. The Zenin will take back the company, and you’ll be free."
"I don't want to be free!"
Yuji lunged. He didn't use cursed energy—he didn't have much left—but he had the raw, explosive power of a man protecting his home. He tackled the boy into a rack of servers, the metal groaning under the impact. They scrambled on the floor, the boy trying to trigger the final upload on his tablet, Yuji wrestling it away.
Yuji pinned the boy’s wrists to the floor, a mirror image of the way Megumi often pinned him. "Delete it. Now."
"No! The world needs to see—"
The heavy vault door of the server room exploded off its hinges.
The pressure wave sent a cloud of dust and sparks through the air. Through the haze, a figure emerged. Megumi Fushiguro looked like he had stepped out of a nightmare. His suit was torn, his face was smeared with dried blood, and the shadows at his feet were no longer pools—they were a roiling, jagged mass of teeth and claws.
"Megumi!" Yuji gasped, losing his grip on the boy.
Megumi didn't speak. He moved with a speed that defied human sight. He was across the room in a heartbeat, his hand closing around the IT boy’s throat and lifting him off the ground. The boy’s tablet clattered to the floor, the screen cracking.
"You," Megumi hissed, the sound more animal than man. "You dared to look at him. You dared to touch the things that are mine."
"Megumi, stop!" Yuji scrambled to his feet, rushing to Megumi’s side. He grabbed Megumi’s arm, feeling the corded tension, the sheer, vibrating killing intent. "He’s just a kid! He’s a pawn! Don't do this here!"
"He saw you, Yuji," Megumi said, his eyes glowing with a dark, cursed light. "He saw the way you look when you’re under me. He tried to give you to the world."
"I don't care about the world!" Yuji shouted, forcing himself between Megumi and the gasping boy. He put his hands on Megumi’s face, ignoring the blood and the grime. "Look at me! Megumi, look at me!"
Megumi’s gaze snapped to Yuji’s. For a long, terrifying second, there was no recognition—only the cold, endless hunger of the Ten Shadows. Then, slowly, the light faded. The shadows at his feet settled. He dropped the boy, who collapsed into a heap, sobbing and clutching his throat.
Megumi’s hands came up to cover Yuji’s, his touch frantic. "Are you hurt? Did he touch you?"
"I'm fine," Yuji whispered, leaning his forehead against Megumi’s. "I'm fine. But the upload... we have to stop it."
Megumi looked at the terminal. He didn't use the keyboard. He simply pointed a finger, and a shadow-tendril shot out, lashing through the server rack, physically shredding the hardware. Sparks showered the room as the hum of the servers died into a deafening silence.
"It's gone," Megumi said, his voice hollow. "Everything. I’ll have the backups in the penthouse destroyed too. No more cameras. No more records."
He pulled Yuji into a crushing embrace, his face buried in Yuji’s neck. He was shaking—the powerful, untouchable CEO was trembling like a leaf. "I killed them, Yuji. The elders. The ones who sent the man to the club. They’re gone. There is no more Zenin clan. There is only us."
Yuji held him, feeling the weight of the man’s soul. He realized then that Megumi hadn't just gone to the countryside to fight a war; he had gone to burn down his own history so that Yuji wouldn't have to live in its shadow.
"Let's go home," Yuji said.

The aftermath was a masterclass in corporate damage control. Gojo and Nanami handled the fallout, the "incident" in the server room blamed on an electrical fire. The IT boy disappeared—not into a grave, but into a high-security psychiatric facility funded by a blind trust, his memory of the tapes scrubbed by a combination of trauma and Gojo’s subtle interference.
Back in the penthouse, the silence was different now. It wasn't the silence of a cage; it was the silence of a sanctuary.
Megumi had showered, the blood washed away, but he refused to let Yuji out of his sight. They were in the master bedroom, the lights dimmed. Megumi had spent the last hour meticulously checking every corner of the room for any remaining surveillance, his paranoia a living thing.
"Megumi, sit down," Yuji said, standing by the bed.
Megumi stopped his pacing and looked at Yuji. He looked exhausted, his eyes sunken, his spirit frayed. He walked over and sat on the edge of the mattress, his head in his hands.
"I almost lost everything today," Megumi whispered. "If that footage had gotten out... you would have been shamed. You would have been the 'victim' of the Fushiguro monster. I wouldn't have been able to protect you from the eyes of the world."
Yuji walked over and stood between Megumi’s knees. He took Megumi’s hands and pulled them away from his face. "The world can't see what I see. They see a CEO. They see a monster. I see a man who’s so afraid of being alone that he tries to swallow the sun."
Yuji leaned down, kissing Megumi’s forehead, then his eyelids, then finally his lips. It was a slow, healing kiss, one that tasted of forgiveness.
Megumi’s response was immediate and desperate. He pulled Yuji onto his lap, his hands sliding under the hem of Yuji’s shirt, his fingers digging into the skin of Yuji’s waist. He flipped them over, pinning Yuji to the bed, his body a heavy, familiar weight.
"I need you," Megumi groaned, his voice breaking. "I need to know you’re still here. I need to feel you."
"I'm here," Yuji said, his hands coming up to cradle Megumi’s head. "Show me."
The intimacy that followed was the most intense of their lives. There were no toys, no chains, no roles. There was only the raw, visceral need for connection. Megumi moved with a frantic, unbridled passion, his thrusts deep and demanding, his mouth never leaving Yuji’s skin. He marked Yuji everywhere—his neck, his chest, his thighs—as if trying to rewrite the erased footage with his own teeth and tongue.
Yuji met him with a ferocity of his own, his legs locked around Megumi’s waist, his back arching as he chased the peak. He wanted this—the weight, the heat, the absolute possession. He wanted Megumi to know that he wasn't a prize to be kept, but a partner who chose to stay in the storm.
As they reached the climax, Megumi let out a long, shattered cry, his body shuddering as he collapsed against Yuji. They lay there for a long time, the only sound the ragged beat of their hearts.
"Yuji," Megumi whispered into the dark.
"Yeah?"
"I’m going to resign. From the Zenin-Fushiguro board."
Yuji pulled back, looking at him in shock. "What? Megumi, you built that empire! You worked so hard—"
"I built it to protect you," Megumi said, his eyes clear and resolute. "But the empire became the threat. It gave people a reason to target you. I don't need the towers, Yuji. I have enough wealth to last us ten lifetimes. I want to go away. Somewhere quiet. Somewhere where I don't have to be a CEO or a Head of a House."
Yuji looked at the man he loved—the architect of silence, the king of shadows. He saw the truth in Megumi’s eyes. The gilded cage was being dismantled from the inside.
"Where would we go?" Yuji asked.
"Wherever you want," Megumi said, pulling him close again. "As long as the doors lock from the inside. And as long as you’re the one with the key."
Yuji smiled, a real, bright smile that lit up the darkened room. He reached out and touched the wedding ring on Megumi’s finger. "I think I’d like that. Maybe somewhere with a garden? Choso says I need more Vitamin D."
Megumi let out a soft, rare laugh. "A garden it is."
As the moon climbed high over Tokyo, the two of them fell into a deep, dreamless sleep. The era of the Zenin was over. The era of the corporate titan was ending. But in the quiet of the penthouse, the story of the sun and the shadow was just beginning its most beautiful chapter. They were no longer hidden; they were simply, finally, home.
