Fractured Echoes

The story follows Mukuro Ikusaba, who is abruptly discarded by her manipulative sister, Junko Enoshima, after Junko declares herself "done" with her previous life of despair. Left adrift and without purpose, Mukuro is found by the eccentric punk musician Ibuki Mioda, who encourages her to process her trauma and feelings through music. Mukuro joins Ibuki's band, Fractured Echoes, and begins to heal and find her own identity. Her raw, emotional performances capture the attention of Sayaka Maizono, a popular idol, who forms a genuine connection with Mukuro, leading to a proposed musical collaboration. This burgeoning relationship and Mukuro's newfound independence infuriate Junko, who, after seeing Mukuro thrive, attempts to reassert her control by calling Mukuro and confessing she misses her. During a tense rehearsal, Junko dramatically confronts Mukuro and Sayaka, attempting to pull Mukuro back into her orbit by appealing to their shared past and her own supposed vulnerability. Mukuro, torn between her past devotion and her present connections, must decide whether to go back to her sister or continue on with her current life. Mukuro decides to meet up with Junko alone one last time to really determine if she truly does love and miss her like she claims.
