In this fanfic, Crowley and Aziraphale are ordinary humans. Aziraphale is a woman, Crowley is a man, and they are married. One day, Crowley and Aziraphale were invited to an event by some mutual friends. It was being held at a restaurant. At some point, Aziraphale went over to her friends, while Crowley stayed sitting near the bar, sipping brandy. After some time, Gabriel, Aziraphale’s ex-boyfriend, approached him. Crowley was surprised to see him, but said nothing. Gabriel was drunk and, swaying slightly, sat down next to him. He asked the bartender to pour him some sparkling wine, then looked at Crowley and tried to start a conversation. However, it seemed more like an attempt to provoke him. Crowley silently ignored Gabriel, unwilling to engage with him. But Gabriel wasn’t going to stop and soon began openly mocking him. Crowley finally turned toward him and sarcastically remarked that apparently Gabriel had no one left to talk to if he had decided to start talking to him now. Gabriel frowned and responded rudely. Realizing that he couldn’t get under Crowley’s skin directly, Gabriel decided to hit where it would hurt and started talking about Aziraphale. He made another sarcastic joke about her. Crowley slowly turned toward him. “Now I understand why Aziraphale left you,” he said coldly, looking Gabriel up and down. “Anyone would run away from a pathetic excuse for a man like you.” Gabriel immediately lost his temper. The alcohol in his system had apparently left him with very little self-control. He grabbed Crowley by the lapel of his jacket, roughly yanked him toward himself, shoved him slightly, and then punched him in the face as hard as he could. Crowley recoiled in surprise. Gabriel immediately lunged at him, knocked him to the floor, and began beating him. People around them cried out in alarm. Several guests turned around, trying to understand what had happened. Aziraphale and her friends also turned toward the commotion and saw the fight. Crowley managed to catch Gabriel’s arm and hit him back. Aziraphale, seeing what was happening, immediately rushed toward her husband. Several men ran over and managed to separate the two of them with some difficulty. Crowley broke free from their grip, breathing heavily. Aziraphale didn’t even look in Gabriel’s direction. She immediately rushed over to Crowley and gasped when she saw the blood covering his face. By then, security had arrived. “Get this idiot out of here,” Crowley snapped, pointing at the drunken Gabriel. “Before he hurts someone else.” Aziraphale took her husband by the hand and led him out of the room and into the restroom. There, she pulled some tissues from her purse and carefully began wiping the blood from his face. Crowley gave a small smirk, trying to reassure her. “It’s nothing, Aziraphale. Really.”
