The moment Greg looked at them. The pearl recognised him as her long lost diamond that went missing. Greg stood there nervously as he watched the lavender pearl do one of those diamond salutes he saw ith their arms when Steven took his father to homeword. And here he was, Greg Universe was apparently a lost diamond. And that's where he saw it. Right on his forearm was a gem. The very one responsible for his diamond like eyes. steven then grabbed his father's arm and runs with him to the beach house, with the purple pearl following suit.
