Ink and Latex Under the Moonlight
The penthouse suite atop the AOMG headquarters was a shrine to high-end minimalism, all floor-to-ceiling glass and polished concrete, but tonight it felt like a pressure cooker. The city lights of Seoul twinkled far below, indifferent to the thick, suffocating tension vibrating between the three people standing in the center of the living room.
Dayoung stood with her legs slightly apart, a stance of pure defiance. She had discarded the sheer dress from the party the moment they stepped through the door, having brought a change of clothes she’d intended to use for a late-night dance practice. Now, she was clad in nothing but a pair of black denim micro-shorts—so short they barely contained the lush, rounded curves of her backside—and a matching sports bra that pushed her breasts up, offering a tantalizing view of her cleavage. The outfit left nothing to the imagination, showcasing the soft glow of her skin and the firm, athletic lines of her body.
Opposite her stood Jay. He had shed his leather vest and shirt hours ago, his torso a living canvas of intricate black ink and hard, rippling muscle. The sweat from the stage had dried, leaving a slight sheen on his abs that caught the dim ambient light every time he breathed. He looked like a god of the underground, powerful and dangerously composed.
The third person in the room was Natty. The younger soloist had followed them from the festival, ostensibly to discuss a "urgent" choreography change for the upcoming encore stage, but the way she was looking at Jay suggested her interests were far more personal.
"I really think the transition in the second verse needs more energy, Jay-sunbaenim," Natty said, stepping toward him. She reached out, her hand hovering near his bare arm. "If we move closer during the breakdown, it might create a better flow. What do you think?"
Dayoung’s eyes snapped to Natty’s hand. The jealousy that had been simmering in her since the after-party boiled over instantly. Before Natty’s fingers could make contact with Jay’s skin, Dayoung moved. She didn't just step in; she claimed the space.
She slid in front of Jay, her back pressing against his rock-hard chest, her voluminous rear brushing against the front of his tactical pants. She felt him stiffen for a heartbeat before his large, warm hands instinctively found her waist, his fingers splaying across the narrow strip of skin between her bra and shorts.
"I think the choreography is perfect just the way it is, Natty-ah," Dayoung said, her voice dripping with a sweetness that didn't reach her eyes. She tilted her head back, looking up at Jay, her expression shifting into something soft and pleading. "Don't you think so, Oppa? We worked so hard on that transition. It would be such a shame to change it now."
Jay’s gaze dropped to Dayoung. The possessive fire that had ignited in the parking garage was back, stoked by the feel of her nearly naked body pressed so intimately against his. He could feel the heat radiating off her, the specific, heavy weight of her curves that he had been thinking about all night.
"Dayoung’s right," Jay said, his voice a low, gravelly rasp that made Natty flinch slightly. He didn't look at the younger girl; he was too busy watching the way Dayoung’s chest rose and fell. "The flow is exactly where it needs to be. We don't need to change a thing."
Natty bit her lip, her eyes darting between the two of them. The physical intimacy was undeniable. "But sunbaenim, I thought—"
"Oppa is very tired, Natty-ah," Dayoung interrupted, her hand reaching back to cover one of Jay’s hands on her waist, pulling it tighter against her. She shifted her hips slightly, a subtle, grinding movement that she knew would drive him insane. "He’s had a very long night, and he needs to rest. Don't you, Oppa?"
Jay groaned, a sound deep in his throat that was half-frustration and half-arousal. He leaned down, his chin resting on Dayoung’s shoulder, his breath hot against her ear. "I’m not that tired," he murmured, loud enough for only her to hear, though his eyes remained fixed on Natty with a look that clearly signaled the conversation was over.
Natty took a step back, the message finally sinking in. "I... I see. I’ll just head out then. Sorry for bothering you so late."
She turned and hurried toward the elevator, the doors sliding shut with a soft chime. The silence that followed was heavy, filled only by the sound of their synchronized breathing.
The moment the elevator started its descent, Dayoung spun around in Jay’s arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers tracing the tattoos on his shoulders. "She was trying to touch you, Oppa. Right in front of me."
Jay’s hands slid down from her waist, cupping the underside of her hips, lifting her slightly so she had to wrap her legs around his waist. The friction of her denim shorts against his skin was agonizingly perfect. "And you weren't going to let that happen, were you?"
"Never," Dayoung whispered, her nose brushing his. "You told me I was yours. That means nobody else gets to touch. Especially not when you're standing there looking like this." She ran a hand over his abs, her palm flat against the hard ridges of muscle. "Do you know how hard it was for me to stay focused on stage when you were behind me?"
Jay let out a dark, short laugh. He walked toward the oversized leather sofa, sitting down without letting her go, so she was straddling his lap. "You think it was hard for you? Dayoung-ah, when you dropped low... when I saw the way those chains were moving on your hips... I nearly lost my mind. I wanted to stop the music right then and there."
Dayoung smirked, feeling the power she held over him. She leaned back, putting a bit of distance between their faces so she could look at him properly. "Is that why you were so mean to Minho? Because you were thinking about the dance?"
"I wasn't being mean. I was being clear," Jay said, his grip on her thighs tightening. "I don't share. Not my music, not my stage, and definitely not you. You’re too dangerous, Dayoung. You have this way of looking at me like I’m the only man in the world, and then you go out there and show everyone else what I’m trying to keep for myself."
"I only did it for you, Oppa," she said, her voice dropping to a sultry thrum. She leaned forward, her lips inches from his. "I wanted you to see what you have. I wanted you to be so jealous that you couldn't think about anyone else."
Jay’s eyes darkened, that predatory intensity returning in full force. He reached up, his hand tangling in her hair, tilting her head back. "Mission accomplished. I haven't thought about anything else for three hours. All I can see is you in that red latex. All I can feel is the way you kissed me in front of thirty thousand people."
"Was it a good kiss?" she teased, her heart racing as his thumb traced her lower lip.
"It was a start," Jay replied. "But we’re not on a stage anymore. There are no cameras here. No censors. Just us."
He leaned in, but instead of kissing her, he trailed his lips down her jawline to her neck, biting softly at the sensitive skin there. Dayoung gasped, her back arching, her chest pressing firmly against his bare torso. The sensation of his skin against hers, the heat of his mouth, and the scent of him was overwhelming.
"Oppa..." she breathed, her hands clutching at his shoulders.
"Tell me again," he muttered against her skin. "Tell me who you belong to."
"You," she gasped, her eyes fluttering shut. "I’m yours, Jay. Only yours."
Jay pulled back, his expression a mix of triumph and raw hunger. He looked down at her, his gaze lingering on the way her shorts hugged her curves. "You have no idea what you do to me. You’re twenty-eight, you’re a grown woman, but you still call me that and look at me with those eyes... it makes me want to ruin you."
"Then ruin me," Dayoung challenged, her voice steady despite the trembling in her limbs. "I’ve been waiting all night for you to stop talking and show me what you meant in the parking garage."
Jay didn't need further invitation. He stood up, keeping her hooked around his waist as he carried her toward the bedroom. The city lights blurred into streaks of gold and silver behind them, the world outside forgotten.
Inside the bedroom, the moonlight spilled across the dark silk sheets of his bed. Jay set her down gently, but he didn't move away. He stood over her, his shirtless form silhouetted against the window, looking every bit the dominant, possessive man she had fallen for.
"You’re not going back to your dorm tonight," he said, it wasn't a question.
"I know," Dayoung replied, reaching out to take his hand. "I don't want to be anywhere else."
Jay climbed onto the bed, hovering over her, his weight a welcome pressure. He leaned down, his lips brushing hers in a slow, agonizingly sweet kiss that tasted of promise and possession. When he pulled back, his eyes were soft for the first time that night.
"I’ve wanted this for a long time, Dayoung-ah," he whispered. "Since that first variety show. I just didn't know if you were ready for someone like me."
"I’ve been ready since the moment I met you, Oppa," she said, her hand moving to the back of his neck to pull him back down. "I just needed you to claim me."
"Consider yourself claimed," Jay said, his voice dropping into that velvet register one last time before his mouth crashed onto hers.
The night was long, filled with the low murmur of endearments and the rhythmic friction of skin against skin. In the privacy of his room, away from the glare of the K-pop industry and the expectations of their fans, they explored the chemistry that had been building for years. Jay was every bit as commanding as he was on stage, his hands never leaving her, his voice a constant reminder of his ownership. And Dayoung, free from the constraints of her idol persona, gave as good as she got, her "natural rhythm" finding its perfect match in the man who had finally stopped running from what they both wanted.
As the first hints of dawn began to creep over the Seoul skyline, Dayoung lay curled against Jay’s side, her head resting on his tattooed chest. His arm was draped over her, his hand resting protectively on the curve of her hip.
"Oppa?" she whispered, the word now a comfortable, intimate secret between them.
"Yeah?" he murmured, his voice thick with sleep.
"We have that encore stage tomorrow."
Jay tightened his grip, pulling her closer until there was no air between them. He kissed the top of her head, a slow, lingering gesture. "Let them wait. Tomorrow, we’ll give them another show. But tonight... tonight was just for us."
Dayoung smiled, closing her eyes as the steady beat of his heart lulled her toward sleep. She knew that when they stepped back onto that stage, the world would see two professionals performing a hit song. But she would know the truth. She would feel the phantom weight of his hands on her waist and the memory of his voice claiming her in the dark. And as long as she was his, she knew she could handle anything the industry threw at her. After all, she had the king of K-Hip Hop in her corner, and he wasn't planning on letting go anytime soon.
