Love

The Weight of Hunger

The night had finally settled over the Fushiguro apartment, bringing with it a silence that felt heavy and thick. Megumi was finally asleep in his crib, his small chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm that belied the stubborn energy he’d displayed all evening.

Yumi stood in the small bathroom, splashing cool water on her face. Her long, straight black hair was tied back in a loose, messy knot, but several strands had escaped to frame her tired face. She looked at herself in the cracked mirror, noting the flush in her cheeks. The physical toll of motherhood was undeniable, but there was a fullness to her figure now that she was still getting used to. Her breasts felt heavy, aching slightly behind the thin fabric of her camisole—the same one Toji had been eyeing with predatory intent all morning.

She jumped slightly when a pair of large, scarred hands settled on her shoulders. She hadn't heard him move; Toji was a ghost when he wanted to be, a predator who moved without the slightest vibration of the floorboards.

"The brat’s out," Toji murmured, his voice a low vibration against the back of her neck. He leaned down, burying his face in the crook of her shoulder, inhaling the scent of her skin. "Finally."

Yumi leaned back into his solid chest, her eyes fluttering shut. "He was so restless today. I think he’s teething again."

"He's fine," Toji said, his hands sliding down from her shoulders to her waist, his thumbs hooking into the waistband of her shorts. "But I’m not. I’ve been patient all day, Yumi."

He turned her around in his arms, his dark eyes scanning her face before dropping lower. The bathroom light was harsh, casting deep shadows over his muscular frame and highlighting the hunger in his gaze. He reached out, his calloused fingers tracing the neckline of her camisole, pulling the fabric down just enough to reveal the pale, swollen curve of her breasts.

"Toji," she breathed, her breath hitching as his hand covered her, his palm warm and rough against her sensitive skin.

"You're so full," he groaned, his thumb grazing a nipple that peaked instantly through the thin cotton. "I told you this morning. This shirt is a problem."

Without another word, he scooped her up. Yumi let out a small gasp, instinctively wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his thick neck. He carried her into their bedroom, the space small and cluttered but private. He didn't bother with the bed at first; he pinned her against the wall, his body a crushing, welcome weight against hers.

His mouth found hers in a kiss that was devoid of any gentleness. It was a claim. He tasted of the cigarette he’d had on the balcony and the raw, untamed energy that defined him. Yumi's fingers tangled in his coarse, dark hair, pulling him closer as she felt the hard ridge of his desire pressing against her thigh.

Toji pulled back just enough to look at her, his breathing ragged. He reached down and yanked the camisole over her head in one fluid motion, tossing it blindly into the corner. In the dim light, her breasts spilled free, large and aching, the blue veins beneath her pale skin visible.

"Beautiful," he rasped.

He didn't wait. He lowered his head, his mouth capturing one breast while his hand kneaded the other. Yumi let out a sharp cry of pleasure, her back arching against the cold wall as the relief of the pressure and the intensity of his suction sent sparks through her nerves. He was greedy, drinking her in as if he could never get enough, his teeth grazing her skin just enough to leave a mark.

"Toji, please," she whimpered, her hands clutching at his shoulders, her nails digging into the hard slabs of muscle.

He moved his head, dragging his tongue up the center of her chest to her throat. "Please what? You want me to stop?"

"No," she gasped, her head falling back. "Never stop."

He chuckled, a dark, vibrating sound. He lowered her feet to the floor but kept her pinned, his hands moving to his own belt. He stripped with a brutal efficiency, his eyes never leaving hers. When he was bare, the sheer scale of him always made Yumi feel even smaller, even more delicate. He was a mountain of scarred flesh and lethal potential, and he was hers.

He sat back on the edge of the bed and pulled her between his knees. "Come here. Work for it."

Yumi knew what he wanted. She dropped to her knees, her long hair falling around her like a silken curtain. She looked up at him through her lashes, seeing the way his jaw was set, the way his pulse hammered in his thick neck. She reached out, her small hands wrapping around him, marveling at the contrast of her pale skin against his.

When she took him into her mouth, Toji let out a low, guttural growl that sounded like a wounded animal. He buried his hands in her hair, his fingers tightening as she moved. He wasn't a gentle lover; he was demanding, his hips twitching as he pushed deeper, testing her limits. Yumi welcomed it, the intensity of him filling her senses, the salt and heat of him overwhelming everything else.

"Look at me," he commanded, his voice strained.

She looked up, her eyes watering, her lips glistening. Toji felt a surge of possessiveness so strong it made his head swim. He reached down, grabbing her under the arms and hauling her up onto the bed.

He laid her flat, her black hair splaying out across the pillow like spilled ink. He moved over her, but instead of entering her immediately, he positioned himself between her breasts. He gripped them, pushing the heavy mounds together until they cushioned him perfectly.

"I’ve been thinking about this since I woke up," he muttered, his eyes dark with a singular focus.

He began to move, the friction of her soft skin against him causing Yumi to let out a series of broken moans. She watched him, watched the way his muscles rippled and coiled with every thrust. He looked like a god of old, something primal and dangerous. The sight of his scarred body hovering over her, his face contorted with pleasure, made her blood boil.

"Toji, I want... I need you inside," she pleaded, her legs wrapping around his waist, her heels digging into his lower back.

"Not yet," he grunted, his pace quickening. He leaned down, his face inches from hers. "I want to see you break first."

He increased the pressure, his hands bruising her soft flesh as he used her body for his own satisfaction. Yumi’s breath came in short, jagged hitches. The sensation was overwhelming—the weight of him, the heat, the sheer physical presence of a man who took what he wanted from the world.

Finally, he shifted. He parted her legs wider, his knees pushing hers toward her shoulders. He paused for a heartbeat at her entrance, his eyes locking onto hers. There was a rare moment of vulnerability there, a silent acknowledgment of the bond they shared that went beyond the physical.

Then, he lunged.

Yumi’s eyes went wide as he filled her completely, a sharp, gasping breath escaping her lungs. He didn't give her time to adjust; he began a rhythmic, punishing pace that made the bed frame groan against the wall. Every thrust was deep, hitting a spot that made her toes curl and her vision blur.

"You're mine, Yumi," he growled, his voice a rasp in her ear. "Mine."

"Yes," she sobbed, her hands roaming over his back, tracing the scars that told the story of a much harder life. "Always."

The friction and the heat built until it was unbearable. Yumi felt the coil within her tighten, the world narrowing down to the point where they connected. She cried out his name, her body shuddering as the climax crashed over her in waves.

Toji didn't slow down. He watched her face as she peaked, his own expression one of fierce triumph. He gave a few more powerful, driving thrusts before he followed her over the edge, his body tensing into a bow as he let out a low, triumphant roar, his forehead dropping to rest against hers as he emptied himself into her.

The silence that followed was heavy, filled only with the sound of their synchronized, ragged breathing. Toji didn't move for a long time, his heavy frame crushing her into the mattress, but Yumi didn't mind. She loved the weight of him; it made her feel anchored, safe from a world that would never understand them.

Eventually, he rolled to the side, taking her with him so she was tucked against his chest. He pulled the thin blanket over them, his hand resting protectively over her hip.

"You okay?" he asked, his voice returning to its usual gravelly depth, though there was a lingering softness to it.

"Mmm," Yumi hummed, her eyes already drifting shut. "Tired now."

Toji reached out, brushing a stray lock of black hair away from her face. He looked at her—this petite, quiet woman who had somehow managed to tame the beast inside him without even trying. She had given him a son, a home, and a reason to wake up that didn't involve a contract or a kill.

"Go to sleep," he said, his thumb tracing the line of her jaw.

"Are you going to stay?" she murmured, her voice barely a whisper.

Toji looked toward the door, thinking of the dark streets outside, the gambling dens, and the shadows of the jujutsu world that always seemed to be lurking just out of sight. Then he looked back at his wife, her skin glowing in the moonlight, and thought of his son sleeping in the next room.

"Yeah," Toji said, closing his eyes and pulling her closer. "I'm not going anywhere."

He stayed awake for a while longer, listening to the quiet sounds of the city and the soft breathing of the woman in his arms. He was a man who had lived his life by the sword, a man who had been discarded by his family and hunted by his peers. But here, in this cramped apartment with the scent of milk and floral shampoo in the air, Toji Fushiguro was something he never thought he’d be.

He was a father. He was a husband. And for the first time in his violent, scarred life, he was at peace.

As the first hint of dawn began to creep through the blinds, Megumi let out a small, demanding cry from the other room. Toji sighed, a small smirk playing at the corner of his mouth.

"Your turn, brat," he whispered to the sleeping Yumi, though he was already shifting his weight to get up.

He stood, his massive frame silhouetted against the window. He looked at Yumi one last time, her hair a dark river across the white pillow, before heading into the nursery. The cycle was beginning again—the diapers, the stubborn stares, the quiet moments of domesticity.

It was a far cry from the life of a mercenary, but as he picked up his son and felt the tiny hand grab his thumb, Toji knew he wouldn't trade it for all the cursed energy in the world. This was his territory, and he would protect it with everything he was.
