Love

The Gravity of His Touch

The aftermath of Valentine’s Day didn't fade with the melting snow on the Munich sidewalks. For Mi, the shift was tectonic. It wasn't that she had been distant before—she loved Jamal with a fierce, quiet loyalty—but something about that night had rewritten the code of their relationship. The moment he had dropped the "Bambi" persona and shown her the raw, commanding strength he usually reserved for the pitch, a new instinct had awakened within her.

It was an addiction to his presence. A physical, magnetic pull that made the few inches of space between them on a sofa feel like an insurmountable canyon.

A week later, they were lounging in his living room. The television was humming with a replay of a Premier League match, but Mi wasn't watching the screen. There was more than enough room on the oversized velvet sectional for three people to lie down comfortably, yet Mi found herself gravitating toward the heat radiating from Jamal.

Without a word, she crawled over his legs and settled herself firmly on his lap. She tucked her head into the crook of his neck, her wild curls tickling his jaw, and wrapped her small arms around his waist.

Jamal let out a soft "oof" of surprise, his hands instinctively coming up to steady her by the hips. "Mi? You okay? There’s plenty of space, you know."

"I like it here," she murmured against his skin, her voice muffled but determined. She squeezed him tighter, feeling the solid, rhythmic thud of his heart. "You’re warmer than the cushions."

Jamal chuckled, a low vibration that she felt through her entire body. His fingers began to trace idle patterns against the small of her back, his touch possessive yet tender. He didn't push her off; instead, he shifted his weight to make her more comfortable, pulling a nearby throw blanket over both of them. He liked this—this new, unapologetic need she had for him. It felt like a silent tribute to the night he’d finally let his guard down.

This new dynamic followed them out of the apartment. Usually, when they walked through the English Garden or popped into a quiet café, they were discreet. Jamal was a public figure, and while they didn't hide, they usually kept a respectful, breezy distance to avoid drawing too much attention.

But now, Mi was like a shadow stitched to his side. Her hand was constantly interlaced with his, her thumb rubbing over his knuckles as if confirming he was still there. When they stood in line for coffee, she leaned her entire weight against his arm, her head resting on his shoulder.

It didn't go unnoticed.

"Jamal, my man, what have you done to her?"

The voice belonged to Alphonso Davies, who was currently grinning like a Cheshire Cat as he approached them at the Säbener Strasse training facility. Mi had come along to drop off a bag Jamal had forgotten, and she was currently clinging to Jamal’s bicep as if he were the only stable thing in a spinning world.

Jamal felt the heat rise to his cheeks, that familiar boyish bashfulness returning. "What do you mean, Phonzy?"

"Come on," Alphonso laughed, gesturing to Mi, who gave a small, contented wave without letting go of Jamal’s arm. "She’s usually the one keeping you in check. Now she looks like she’s been hypnotized. You’ve got her acting like a koala. What’s the secret? Did you finally learn how to cook something other than pasta?"

Jamal rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand, his eyes darting to Mi, who just smiled up at him with a look of pure, unadulterated adoration. "I don’t know. We just... had a really good Valentine’s Day."

"Must have been some legendary flowers," Alphonso winked, moving past them toward the locker room. "Or maybe a really big diamond. Whatever it is, keep doing it. You look like you’re walking on air, too."

Once they were alone in the hallway, Jamal looked down at her. "You’re making people talk, you know."

"Let them talk," Mi said softly. She reached up, pulling his head down by his collar so she could press a lingering kiss to his cheek. "I just want to be near you. Is that a crime?"

"No," Jamal whispered, his voice dropping into that lower, darker register that made her knees weak. "Definitely not a crime."

The clinginess wasn't just physical proximity; it was a total surrender of her usual reservations. Back at the apartment that evening, the atmosphere shifted again. The sun had set, casting the living room in long, blue shadows. Jamal was sitting at the kitchen island, scrolling through his phone, when Mi approached him.

She didn't say anything at first. She simply walked between his knees, forcing him to spread them to accommodate her. She looked up at him, her dark curls messy, her eyes wide and focused.

"Jamal," she whispered.

"Yeah, Mi?" He put his phone down, his attention entirely hers.

"I want to... I want to take care of you. Tonight."

He blinked, his brow furrowing slightly. "You already made dinner, babe. I can do the dishes."

Mi shook her head, a small, knowing smile playing on her lips. She reached out, her hands sliding up his thighs, feeling the tension in his muscles. "Not the dishes. I want to give you a blowjob. Right here. Or in the bedroom. Wherever you want."

Jamal’s breath hitched. While they were active and happy in their sex life, Mi was usually more reactive, waiting for his lead. Her being this forward, this eager to please him without him even asking, was another side effect of their Valentine’s breakthrough. She wanted to see him lose control again, but this time, she wanted to be the one to take it from him.

"Mi..." he groaned, his hands coming up to cup her face. "You don't have to."

"I want to," she insisted, her voice firm. "I want to feel you. I want to see that look on your face again. Please, Jam."

She didn't wait for a second invitation. She sank to her knees between his legs, her small frame looking even more delicate against the stark white tile of the kitchen floor. Jamal let out a strangled sound, his head falling back as she began to work at the drawstring of his joggers.

The power dynamic was a beautiful, swirling chaos. Even though she was the one on her knees, serving him, she felt a sense of immense power. She could make this world-class athlete, this man who was idolized by millions, tremble with a single touch of her tongue.

Jamal’s hands found their way into her hair, his long fingers tangling in her curls. He wasn't being gentle now; he was gripping her, his knuckles white as he guided her, his breath coming in short, sharp bursts.

"Mi... god, you’re... you’re perfect," he rasped, his eyes squeezed shut.

She looked up at him, her eyes tracking the way his throat moved as he swallowed hard. She loved this. She loved the way he looked when he was completely undone by her. She increased the pace, her small hands gripping his thighs for leverage, her focus absolute.

When he finally reached his limit, he called out her name, his body rigid, his fingers tightening in her hair for a brief, intense moment before he slumped forward. He reached down, hauling her up from the floor and into his arms, tucking her against his chest as if she were the most precious thing he had ever held.

"You’m trying to kill me," he breathed into her hair, his heart racing against her ear.

"Just making sure you remember who you belong to," she teased, echoing his words from a week prior.

He pulled back, looking at her with an intensity that made her breath catch. "I don't think I could ever forget. You’ve changed, Mi. In a good way. But you’re... you’re so intense now."

"Is it too much?" she asked, a flicker of her old shyness returning. "The clinging, the... this?"

Jamal shook his head vigorously, pulling her back into the safety of his embrace. "No. Never too much. I love it. I love that you feel safe enough to be like this with me. I love that you want me this much."

The next day at the club, the teasing continued. Thomas Müller, ever the observer, cornered Jamal near the weights.

"Musiala! What is the secret?" Thomas shouted, loud enough for half the gym to hear. "I see the girl in the stands yesterday. She doesn't watch the ball! She only watches you. Even when you are on the other side of the pitch! And when you come to the touchline, she is like a magnet! Did you cast a spell? Is it English magic?"

Jamal laughed, wiping sweat from his forehead with a towel. He thought about the way Mi had looked at him this morning, the way she’d insisted on buttoning his shirt for him, her fingers lingering on his chest. He thought about the way she had crawled into his lap the night before and the way she had looked up at him from the kitchen floor.

"No magic, Thomas," Jamal said, a confident, secret smile spreading across his face. "Just a very good Valentine’s Day."

"Whatever it is, don't stop," Thomas laughed, slapping him on the back. "You’re playing like a man possessed. If being a 'koala couple' makes you score goals like that, I will buy you both a tree to live in!"

Jamal walked away, his heart light. He knew people noticed the change. He knew they saw the way Mi clung to him, the way she seemed to have traded her independence for a sweet, docility that bordered on obsession. But he also knew the truth.

It wasn't that she was weaker. It was that they were closer. The barrier of "being careful" had been smashed, and in its place was a raw, honest hunger that neither of them wanted to starve.

When he got home that evening, the door had barely clicked shut before he felt a familiar weight against his chest. Mi had practically tackled him, her arms looping around his neck, her legs hooking around his waist.

"Welcome home," she whispered, her nose brushing against his.

Jamal didn't even drop his gear bag. He just held her, his large hands supporting her petite frame, marveling at how perfectly she fit against him.

"I missed you," he admitted, the honesty coming easier now.

"I was thinking," Mi said, her eyes sparkling with a new kind of mischief. "Since you liked the kitchen last night... maybe we should see how the balcony feels? It’s dark enough."

Jamal felt that familiar jolt of electricity. The shy boy from a few weeks ago might have stuttered a protest about the neighbors or the cold. But this Jamal—the man Mi had brought out of his shell—simply tightened his grip on her.

"The balcony, huh?" he murmured, turning toward the glass doors. "I think I can manage that. But you’re going to have to be quiet, Mi. Or as quiet as I’ll let you be."

She shivered against him, a soft moan escaping her lips. "I’ll try."

"Don't try too hard," he whispered, his voice a promise. "I want them to know. I want everyone to know you’re mine."

As he stepped out into the cool night air, Mi clung to him even tighter, her heart beating in sync with his. The world could watch, the world could wonder, and the world could whisper. But in the gravity of his touch, she was exactly where she was meant to be.
