Me + U
The Gravity of the Moon
The air in the room seemed to vanish, replaced by a thick, electric tension that made Yumi’s skin prickle. Megumi had always been her anchor, the steady presence that kept her grounded when the world felt too large or too frightening. But now, as his weight pressed her into the mattress, he felt less like an anchor and more like a storm.
His hands, usually so careful and deliberate when they handled his shikigami or his cursed tools, were trembling. It was a revelation to Yumi. The stoic, unflappable Megumi Fushiguro was shaken, and she was the cause.
"Yumi," he breathed her name like a prayer or a curse, his nose brushing against hers.
He didn't wait for another word. He kissed her again, this time with a possessive intensity that made her toes curl against the sheets. His tongue swiped against her lower lip, seeking entrance, and she gave it willingly, her small moans muffled by his mouth. It was a chaotic, beautiful collision of everything they had been denied during their year apart.
His hand traveled higher, his fingers splaying across her ribs before sliding up to cup the curve of her breast through the thin cotton of his own shirt. Yumi gasped, her back arching instinctively. The sensation was overwhelming—a sharp, sweet ache that radiated from where he touched her to the very center of her being.
"You're so small," Megumi murmured, his voice vibrating against her throat as he trailed kisses down to the sensitive skin just below her ear. "I’ve spent so long worrying I’d break you if I held you too tight. But you’re not a child anymore, are you?"
"Stop talking about me like I'm made of glass," Yumi whispered, her voice strained. She gripped his shoulders, her nails digging into the black fabric of his hoodie. "I'm a sorcerer, Megumi. I can handle you."
A low, dark chuckle vibrated in his chest—a sound she had never heard before. It wasn't the dry, sarcastic huff he gave Itadori or Gojo. It was primal.
"Is that a challenge?" He pulled back just enough to look her in the eye, his pupils blown wide so that only a thin ring of sea-green remained. "Because if I stop holding back, Yumi, I’m going to want everything. I’m going to want to mark you so that everyone at this school knows exactly who you belong to. I’m going to want to hear you scream my name until your voice goes hoarse."
Yumi felt a flush creep up her neck, heat blooming across her cheeks. The bluntness of his words should have scared her, but instead, they ignited a fire in her belly. She had spent years watching girls look at him from afar, watching him push them away with his cold indifference. To know that all that suppressed passion was reserved solely for her was the most intoxicating feeling she had ever known.
"Then do it," she challenged, her voice gaining strength. "Mark me. Take everything. I’ve been waiting for you to realize that I’ve been yours since the day we met."
Megumi didn't need to be told twice. He shucked his hoodie in one fluid motion, tossing it blindly onto the floor. In the silver moonlight, his lean, muscular frame was a map of hard work and scars—the physical toll of his life as a sorcerer. Yumi reached out, her fingers tracing the faint lines on his abdomen, marveling at the heat radiating from his skin.
He moved back over her, his hands finding the hem of the oversized t-shirt she wore. Slowly, giving her every chance to stop him, he pulled it over her head. When it was gone, he froze for a moment, his gaze raking over her petite form. The sight of her, pale and vulnerable and utterly trusting beneath him, seemed to break the last of his restraint.
He buried his face in the crook of her neck, his teeth grazing the soft skin there. Yumi let out a sharp cry of surprise and pleasure as he nipped at the junction of her shoulder, his hand sliding down to the small of her back to pull her flush against him. There was no space left between them, no room for shadows or secrets.
"Megumi... please," she whimpered, her hands wandering down to the waistband of his sweatpants.
"I’ve got you," he whispered, his voice a ragged shadow of its usual self. "I’ve got you, Yumi."
The night became a blur of friction and heat. Every touch was a discovery, a rewriting of their history. He explored her body with a hunger that bordered on desperation, his hands mapping out every curve, every dip of her waist, every inch of her soft skin. He was worshipful yet demanding, his patience finally giving way to the raw, unadulterated need of a man who had been starving in silence.
When he finally moved to join their bodies, he paused, his forehead resting against hers, his breath hitching. "Last chance," he rasped, his eyes searching hers one last time. "If we do this, there’s no going back to how it was."
Yumi reached up, brushing a damp strand of hair from his forehead. "I don't want to go back. I want to go forward. With you."
As they became one, the world outside the dorm room ceased to exist. There were no Grade 1 curses, no Sukuna, no looming threats of war between the clans. There was only the rhythm of their hearts, the tangled mess of their limbs, and the quiet, breathless confessions whispered into the dark.
Later, as the first hints of grey began to bleed into the horizon, the room was silent once more. The frantic energy of the night had settled into a heavy, peaceful exhaustion. Yumi lay tucked into Megumi’s side, her head resting on his chest, listening to the steady, slow thump of his heart. His arm was draped protectively over her waist, his fingers idly tracing patterns on her hip.
The sheets were a mess, and the air was cool, but Yumi had never felt warmer.
"You're thinking too loud," Megumi murmured, his voice thick with sleep. He didn't open his eyes, but he pulled her a little closer, his chin resting on the top of her head.
"I'm just thinking about tomorrow," Yumi admitted softly. "About Itadori and Kugisaki. About Gojo-sensei. They're going to know, aren't they?"
Megumi opened one eye, looking down at her. A small, genuine smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth—the kind of look he only ever gave her.
"Gojo probably already knows. He probably has a camera hidden in the light fixture," Megumi joked darkly, though they both knew the man’s Six Eyes made privacy a luxury they rarely possessed. "As for the others... let them think what they want. I’m not hiding this anymore."
Yumi smiled, shifting so she could look at him properly. "So, no more 'don't climb on me in public'?"
Megumi sighed, though he looked more resigned than annoyed. "I didn't say that. You’re still a distraction when I'm trying to work. But... I’m not going to pretend I don't want you there."
He leaned down, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to her forehead. "I’ve spent a year pretending I could handle being away from you. I was wrong. I don't ever want to be that far away again."
"Good," Yumi said, her eyes fluttering shut as sleep finally began to claim her. "Because I’m not going anywhere. You’re stuck with me, Fushiguro."
"I think I can live with that," he whispered into the silence.
As the sun began to rise over Tokyo Jujutsu High, casting long shadows across the training grounds, the two of them finally fell into a deep, dreamless sleep. The "boy next door" and the girl who followed him had vanished in the heat of the night, replaced by two people who had finally accepted the gravity that had been pulling them together since childhood.
The morning would bring missions, danger, and the inevitable teasing of their classmates. Itadori would likely shout, Nobara would smirk and demand details, and Gojo would make some incredibly inappropriate comment about youth. But as Megumi held Yumi in the quiet safety of his room, none of that mattered.
The shadows were no longer a place of fear or a tool for combat; they were a sanctuary. And for the first time in a very long time, Megumi Fushiguro felt like he was exactly where he was supposed to be.
