Nanofate in the world of mha
The Golden Strike and the Starlight Shield
The air in the USJ plaza was thick with the scent of ozone, blood, and the acrid stench of decaying artificial flesh. Only seconds ago, the situation had been catastrophic. Shota Aizawa, the hero known as Eraserhead, lay broken and pinned beneath the monstrous, exposed-brain creature known as Nomu. Tomura Shigaraki, his face obscured by a severed hand, had been lunging toward Izuku Midoriya, his fingers outstretched to disintegrate the boy’s face.
Then, the world tore open.
A rift of swirling white and gold energy manifested in the sky, and before the villains could even register the intrusion, two streaks of light descended like falling stars.
"Restricting Target! Hoop Bind!"
"Lightning Bind!"
Two voices, young but ringing with absolute authority, echoed through the dome. Rings of glowing magenta energy snapped shut around the Nomu’s massive limbs, pinning it to the ground with a force that cracked the concrete. Simultaneously, jagged bolts of golden electricity wove themselves into a cage around Shigaraki, paralyzing him mid-stride.
Nanoha Takamachi hovered a few feet above the ground, her white and blue Barrier Jacket shimmering. Raising Heart, currently in its Excelion mode, pulsed in her hand. Beside her, Fate Testarossa drifted with predatory grace, her black and gold cloak fluttering, Bardiche held in its scythe form, crackling with static.
"Raising Heart, status report!" Nanoha commanded, her eyes scanning the chaotic battlefield.
"Area scan complete," the Intelligent Device responded in its calm, mechanical English voice. "Multiple high-energy signatures detected throughout the facility. Combatants are divided into sub-zones. Rescue priority: High."
Nanoha’s heart hammered against her ribs. They had just been in the cold, snowy ruins of the Book of Darkness’s inner world. Now, they were in a tropical-themed dome filled with teenagers in costumes and monsters. But the sight of the bleeding man beneath the creature and the terrified look in the green-haired boy’s eyes told her everything she needed to know.
"Fate-chan, we have to split our focus," Nanoha said, her voice steady despite the confusion. "I’ll stabilize this area and hold the big one. Can you check the other zones?"
Fate nodded, her crimson eyes sharp. "I’m on it. But Nanoha, be careful. These... people. I don't sense mana from them. It’s a different kind of energy."
"I know," Nanoha replied with a determined smile. "But they’re in trouble. We’ll figure the rest out later."
Izuku Midoriya stared up at the two girls in disbelief. He had seen many heroes, but these two didn't have support items he recognized. Their "Quirks" felt overwhelming, like standing next to a sun. "Who... who are you?" he stammered, his eyes darting between the glowing pink rings holding the Nomu and the blonde girl who looked ready to break the sound barrier.
"We're here to help!" Nanoha shouted down to him. "Please, get your teacher to safety! We'll handle the villains!"
Shigaraki hissed, his body twitching against the golden electricity of Fate’s bind. "What is this? More NPCs? Is this a cheat code? Kurogiri!"
The dark mist villain surged forward, but Fate was faster. "Sonic Move!" In a blur of golden light, she vanished, reappearing behind the mist. She swung Bardiche, not to kill, but to disrupt. "Scythe Slash!"
A wave of yellow mana sliced through the air, forcing Kurogiri to retreat and condense his form to avoid being dissipated. "Young Master, these newcomers... they are not students. Their power levels are illogical!"
The Nomu, meanwhile, began to screech. Its muscles bulged, the sheer physical strength of the creature beginning to strain Nanoha’s magical bindings. The magenta rings began to flicker and crack.
"Warning," Raising Heart spoke. "Target physical strength exceeding standard binding parameters. Recommend heavy suppression."
"Understood! Cartridge load!" Nanoha slammed a hand against the side of her device.
*Load Cartridge.*
A spent magical shell ejected from Raising Heart with a metallic *clink*, and the staff began to glow with intense heat. "Divine Buster... Extension!"
Nanoha leveled her staff at the Nomu. A massive magic circle materialized in front of her, and a beam of concentrated pink energy erupted, slamming into the creature’s chest. The force didn't just push the Nomu; it pinned it into the crater it had made, the sheer pressure of the mana preventing it from regenerating or moving.
"Tsuyu! Mineta! Help me move Mr. Aizawa!" Izuku shouted, snapping out of his trance. Seeing the opening the two mysterious girls had created, the students scrambled forward.
Tsuyu Asui used her tongue to gently lift the bloodied Aizawa, while Mineta sobbed in terror but managed to help steady the man’s limp body. "Kero, we have to go! Those girls are holding them, but for how long?"
"I don't know," Izuku muttered, looking back at Nanoha, who was maintaining the beam with one hand while using the other to create a protective barrier around the retreating students. "But they’re amazing."
Across the plaza, Fate was a streak of lightning. She saw a group of thugs recovering from the initial shock and preparing to ambush the students.
"Bardiche! Plasma Lancer!"
"Yes, sir," the device replied.
Eight arrowhead-shaped bolts of yellow energy appeared around Fate. With a flick of her wrist, she sent them flying. "Turn!" she commanded, and the bolts veered mid-air, striking the villains with non-lethal but paralyzing shocks.
Fate landed softly near a group of students—Momo Yaoyorozu, Kyoka Jiro, and Denki Kaminari—who were fending off villains in the mountain zone.
"Are you hurt?" Fate asked, her voice soft but urgent.
Momo stared at the girl’s intricate Barrier Jacket. "We... we are managing. Who are you? Are you with the Pro Heroes?"
"I'm Fate, a mage from the Bureau," Fate said, though she knew the title would mean nothing here. "There are more of you scattered around, right? I need to gather everyone."
"Wait!" Denki shouted, pointing toward the center. "The big guy is breaking free!"
Back at the plaza, the Nomu let out a roar that shook the very foundation of the USJ. Its "Shock Absorption" quirk was being pushed to the limit, but its "Super Regeneration" was working overtime against Nanoha’s Divine Buster. With a violent heave, it shattered the Hoop Binds and lunged into the air, aiming directly for Nanoha.
"Nanoha!" Fate cried out, preparing to fly back.
"I'm okay!" Nanoha yelled. She didn't flinch. She had faced the Book of Darkness; she had faced the wrath of the Wolkenritter. A mindless monster wouldn't stop her. "Axel Fin!"
Energy wings sprouted from her boots, and she spiraled upward, narrowly avoiding the Nomu’s grasp. "If you won't stay down... then I’ll have to be a bit more forceful. Fate-chan, cover the students! I’m going to clear the center!"
"Understood! Be careful!" Fate pivoted, her eyes catching sight of a group of villains closing in on a girl with pink skin and a boy with a bird head. "Lightning Bind! Plasma Smasher!"
Fate unleashed a horizontal wave of electricity that swept the villains off their feet, clearing a path for Mina Ashido and Tokoyami to retreat toward the entrance.
In the sky, Nanoha held Raising Heart high. "Raising Heart, let’s use 'that'."
"Set Up. Exelion Buster, Force Burst Mode."
Nanoha took a deep breath. She saw the "handsy" man—Shigaraki—screaming orders, and the mist villain trying to warp the Nomu behind her. She knew she had to end this quickly before more students got hurt.
"I'm sorry," Nanoha whispered to the monster, "but I have to stop you."
She slammed three cartridges into Raising Heart in rapid succession. *Load. Load. Load.* The air around her began to vibrate with the sheer volume of mana she was drawing in. The pink light was so bright it illuminated the entire dome, drowning out the artificial sun.
"Starlight... BREAKER!"
She didn't fire it at the students or even directly at the villains. She fired it at the ground between the Nomu and the main villain group. The resulting explosion wasn't a firestorm, but a pillar of pure, refined magical energy that surged upward, creating a massive shockwave that blew the mist and the villains back toward the edges of the facility.
The Nomu was caught in the periphery, the sheer pressure of the mana slowing its molecular regeneration to a crawl as it was slammed into the dirt.
As the dust began to settle, a new sound echoed through the USJ—the sound of the main doors being kicked open.
"I AM HERE!"
All Might stood at the top of the stairs, his usual smile replaced by a mask of cold, unadulterated fury. He looked down at the wreckage, his eyes landing on his broken colleague, his terrified students, and then... the two girls.
Nanoha descended slowly, her mana wings fading. She was breathing heavily, the strain of the Blaster system starting to itch at her nerves. Fate landed beside her, Bardiche returning to its standby form as a small yellow jewel on her neck.
The two girls stood back-to-back, surrounded by a world they didn't know, facing a man who looked like a god and a villain who looked like a nightmare.
"Nanoha," Fate whispered, reaching out to take her friend's hand.
"I know," Nanoha replied, squeezing back. "We stay together."
All Might leaped down, landing with a thud that cracked the tiles. He looked at Nanoha and Fate, his blue eyes glowing in the shadows of his face. He saw their strange clothes, their staves, and the incredible power radiating from them. But he also saw the way they stood in front of his students, shielding them.
"I do not know who you young ladies are," All Might said, his voice like rolling thunder. "But you have protected my students. For that, you have my thanks. Now... step back. I will take it from here."
Shigaraki dragged himself up, his clothes singed, his eyes wide with mania. "All Might... and more cheaters... this isn't how the game was supposed to go! Nomu! Kill them! Kill them all!"
The Nomu, shredded and smoking from Nanoha’s attack, stood up with a jerky, unnatural motion. Its limbs knitted back together with sickening cracks.
Nanoha stepped forward, Raising Heart humming. "He’s not alone, Mr. All Might. We’ll help you."
"We're a team," Fate added, her golden aura flickering back to life.
All Might looked at the two girls. He could see the exhaustion in their eyes, but he also saw a familiar spark—the same spark he saw in young Midoriya. The soul of a hero.
"Very well!" All Might laughed, a booming sound that restored hope to the room. "Let us show these villains what happens when you threaten the peace!"
Izuku Midoriya, watching from the sidelines as he held Aizawa’s head steady, could only stare in awe. He had been worried about his idols, but seeing the blonde "Golden Flash" and the "White Devil" standing alongside the Symbol of Peace, he felt a surge of adrenaline.
"They're like... from another world," he whispered.
He didn't know how right he was.
The battle for the USJ had just entered its final phase. With the combined power of the world’s greatest hero and two of the most powerful mages from the Time-Space Administration Bureau, the villains didn't stand a chance.
Nanoha looked at Fate and nodded. "Fate-chan, let's give him an opening!"
"Right! Sonic Sail!"
Fate vanished into a blur of speed, circling the Nomu to distract its multiple eyes, while Nanoha began to charge a precision binding spell. All Might pulled back his fist, the air pressure alone beginning to distort the space around him.
"United States..." All Might began.
"Axel Shooter!" Nanoha launched a dozen homing bolts to intercept the mist villain.
"Plasma Smasher!" Fate fired a beam to pin the Nomu’s feet.
"...SMASH!"
The combined force of the physical punch and the magical bombardment created a vacuum of power that finally sent the Nomu flying, not just across the plaza, but through the very roof of the USJ, disappearing into the clouds.
Silence fell over the dome. The remaining thugs surrendered immediately, and Shigaraki, cursing and scratching his neck until it bled, was forced to retreat into Kurogiri’s shrinking warp gate.
Nanoha let out a long breath, her Barrier Jacket dissolving into motes of light, leaving her in her casual Earth clothes. Fate did the same, her long blonde hair falling loosely over her shoulders. They both swayed slightly, the sudden transition between worlds and the high-intensity combat taking its toll.
Before they could fall, All Might was there, his large hands steadying their shoulders.
"Easy now, young heroines," he said softly, his voice full of genuine warmth. "You've done more than enough."
Nanoha looked up at him, a tired but happy smile on her face. "Is... is everyone safe?"
All Might looked around at his students, who were already being tended to by the other teachers arriving at the scene. He looked at Midoriya, who was giving him a shaky thumbs-up.
"Yes," All Might replied. "Everyone is safe. Thanks to you."
Fate leaned against Nanoha, her eyes closing briefly. "Nanoha... where are we?"
Nanoha looked at the strange superhero school, the odd students, and the giant man beside them. "I don't know, Fate-chan. But I think... I think we're where we need to be."
As the sirens of the police and ambulances echoed in the distance, the two mages from another dimension stood in the middle of a world of heroes, unaware that their journey had only just begun. They had saved one world from the Book of Darkness, and now, they had just saved the future of another.
"Raising Heart," Nanoha whispered.
"Yes, My Master?"
"Keep a log of everything. I think we're going to have a lot to tell Hayate when we get home."
"Understood. Recording started."
In the distance, the sun began to set over the UA campus, casting long shadows over the beginning of an impossible alliance.
