Steel and Silk: The Jealousy of a King

The air in the sprawling Seoul mansion felt unusually thin, vibrating with a tension that had been simmering for three days. It had started with a laugh—a bright, genuine sound that echoed through the kitchen when Jungkook had teased her about her failed attempt at making dalgona coffee. It had escalated when Jungkook, in his usual playful, golden-retriever-like manner, had draped an arm around her shoulders while they watched a movie in the common room. Taehyung had been sitting across from them, a book in his hand that he hadn't turned a page of in an hour. His knuckles had been white, his jaw set in a line so rigid it looked carved from granite.

Taehyung was not a man of petty tantrums. He was a man of deep, oceanic emotions, and when his jealousy was piqued, it didn't manifest as shouting. It manifested as a cold, suffocating possessiveness that wrapped around the house like a fog.

That evening, the rest of the members were scattered. Namjoon and Yoongi were in their respective studios, Hobi was at the dance center, and Jin was out for dinner. Jungkook, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, had wisely retreated to his room after a particularly sharp look from his V-hyung. This left her alone in the master bedroom, waiting for the storm to break.

The door clicked shut, and Taehyung stepped inside. He didn't look at her immediately. He moved to the dresser, removing his watch and placing it down with a deliberate, echoing thud. He was still in his stage outfit from a filmed performance—dark leather trousers and a sheer black silk shirt that clung to the broad expanse of his shoulders.

"You seemed to have a lot to talk about with Jungkook today," Taehyung said, his voice a low, dangerous baritone that made the hair on her arms stand up.

"Tae, we were just talking about the coffee," she said softly, standing up from the bed. "You know he’s like a brother. He was just being sweet."

Taehyung turned then, his dark eyes flashing with a predatory light she hadn't seen in weeks. He moved toward her, his pace slow and measured. "Sweet. Everyone is sweet to you. Everyone wants a piece of your attention. But you forget, don't you? You forget who you belong to."

He reached out, his large hand cupping her jaw, his thumb pressing firmly against her lower lip. There was a desperate, jagged edge to his romanticism tonight. "I love you more than my life, but sometimes the thought of anyone else even looking at you makes me want to burn the world down."

He pulled away abruptly and walked toward the ornamental display case near his desk. He reached inside and pulled out something that made her heart skip a beat. It was his prop gun—a heavy, realistic replica used for his 'Singularity' performances and various noir-themed photo shoots. It was cold, metallic, and carried a weight of simulated danger.

"Taehyung? What are you doing with that?" she whispered, her voice trembling.

He didn't answer. He walked back to the bed and sat on the edge, placing the weapon on the silk duvet. He reached into the nightstand drawer and pulled out a small, familiar foil packet—a condom. With slow, methodical movements, he tore it open and rolled the latex over the cold, steel barrel of the prop gun. The sight was surreal—taboo, frightening, and intensely erotic all at once.

"Tae, please, that’s... that’s not a toy," she stammered, backing away slightly.

"I know exactly what it is," he murmured, his gaze fixed on the weapon. "It’s cold. It’s hard. It’s unyielding. Just like I feel right now. I want you to ride it. I want you to show me that you’ll do anything I ask. I want to see you take something that isn't me, just because I told you to."

"I'm scared," she confessed, her eyes wide.

Taehyung’s expression softened for a fraction of a second, the caring husband flickering behind the jealous lover. He reached out, grabbing her wrist and pulling her between his knees. "I would never let anything actually hurt you. You know that. It’s covered. It’s safe. But I need this. I need to see your surrender. I need to know that your body and your will are mine alone."

He guided her down, his hands firm on her waist. "Sit on it. For me."

With trembling legs, she straddled the cold metal. The sensation was jarring—the frigid temperature of the steel beneath the thin layer of latex was a sharp contrast to the heat of her own body. As she slowly lowered herself, she gasped, her fingers digging into Taehyung’s shoulders. It was thick, uncompromising, and lacked the living warmth of her husband, which made the act feel incredibly transgressive.

Taehyung leaned back on his elbows, his eyes locked onto her face. He watched every flinch, every blush, every hitch in her breath with a terrifying intensity. "Yes," he rasped, his voice thick with arousal. "Look at you. Taking it because I told you to. Do you feel how cold it is? That’s the ice in my chest when I see him touch you."

"Tae, please," she moaned, her head falling back. The physical sensation was strange, a blunt pressure that hit deep, but the psychological weight of it was what was driving her over the edge.

"Move," he commanded, his hands moving to her hips to dictate the pace. "Show me how much you want to please your husband. Show me that Jungkook’s 'sweetness' is nothing compared to my darkness."

She began to move, the metal sliding inside her with a rhythmic, mechanical friction. Taehyung’s breathing became ragged. He reached up, his fingers tangling in her hair, pulling her head down so he could whisper against her ear. "You're so beautiful when you're scared and wanting. You're so perfect when you're mine."

The intensity of the moment was shattered by a sudden, loud knock on the bedroom door.

"Taehyung-ah? Are you in there? We’re ordering late-night snacks and Jin-hyung wants to know if you want the spicy—"

It was Jungkook.

The silence in the room became deafening. She froze, her body still impaled on the cold steel, her heart thundering against her ribs. Taehyung’s eyes darkened to a shade of midnight that promised retribution. He didn't move his hands from her hips. In fact, he gripped her harder.

"Go away, Guk," Taehyung called out, his voice perfectly level, though laced with a terrifying undertone of steel. "We’re busy."

There was a pause on the other side of the door. "Oh. Sorry, hyung. I didn't realize... you guys were..."

"We are," Taehyung interrupted, his gaze never leaving her face. "Don't interrupt us again."

They heard Jungkook’s footsteps retreat down the hallway, hurried and embarrassed. The interruption seemed to fuel Taehyung’s fire. He sat up, pulling her flush against his chest while she was still joined to the weapon.

"He heard," Taehyung whispered, a dark, triumphant smirk playing on his lips. "He knows exactly what I’m doing to you. He knows you're occupied."

The realization sent a fresh wave of heat through her. The taboo of the prop, the jealousy of her husband, and the proximity of the other members created a sensory overload. She began to move again, more frantically now, her cries muffled against Taehyung’s neck.

Taehyung watched her, his hand moving down to touch her where the metal met her skin. He was mesmerized by the sight. "You're so wet for it," he groaned. "You're so ready to be ruined for me."

As she reached her peak, her body clenching around the cold barrel, Taehyung finally let out a long, shaky breath. He waited until her tremors subsided before gently lifting her off. He tossed the weapon aside onto the chair, the metal clattering with a sound that seemed to finalize the act of possession.

He didn't give her a moment to breathe before he was pulling her back down, his own body replacing the cold steel. This time, there was no barrier. He entered her with a desperation that was almost painful, his movements a frantic apology for his own jealousy.

"I'm sorry," he gasped into her hair, his thrusts deep and soul-searing. "I'm sorry I'm like this. I just... I can't share you. Not even a look. Not even a laugh."

"I don't want anyone else," she sobbed, her arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him as close as humanly possible. "It’s only you, Tae. Always you."

When they finally collapsed in a heap of tangled limbs and damp skin, the room was quiet once more. Taehyung held her with a grip that suggested he would never let go, his heart beating a frantic rhythm against her spine.

The next morning, the atmosphere in the house was awkward, to say the least. When they walked down to the kitchen for breakfast, the other members were already there. Jin was flipping pancakes, Namjoon was reading the news, and Jungkook was staring intently at his bowl of cereal.

As soon as Taehyung entered, draped in a silk robe, his arm firmly around her waist, the room went silent. Taehyung didn't say a word. He walked to the fridge, poured a glass of juice, and then turned to look at Jungkook.

"The snacks were good?" Taehyung asked, his voice casual, yet carrying an unmistakable edge of dominance.

Jungkook turned bright red, his ears practically glowing. "Uh, yeah, hyung. Sorry about... you know. The door."

Jimin, who had been quiet until then, looked between Taehyung’s smug expression and her flushed face. He noticed the way Taehyung’s hand never left her hip, his fingers splayed in a possessive grip.

"You guys sounded... busy," Jimin remarked, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Taehyungie, you look like a cat who got the cream."

"I got more than that," Taehyung replied, pulling her closer and kissing her temple in front of everyone.

Yoongi looked up from his coffee, his sharp eyes taking in the scene. He noticed the faint mark on her neck and the way she was walking slightly gingerly. "Taehyung, try not to break her. We have a schedule tomorrow."

"She’s fine, hyung," Taehyung said, his voice dropping into that deep, possessive register. "She likes being taken care of."

Jungkook wouldn't look at either of them for the rest of the meal. The message had been sent and received. Taehyung had marked his territory, not just with his body, but with his will.

Later that afternoon, while the others were in the practice room, Taehyung found her in the library. He walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his face in her neck.

"Are you still mad at me?" he whispered.

"I was never mad, Tae," she said, turning in his arms. "I was just... overwhelmed. You were so intense."

"I know," he sighed, his eyes softening into the soulful, romantic gaze she loved. "I get scared. This world is so big, and everyone wants a piece of us. I just need to know that the piece of me that is 'us' is safe. That it’s untouchable."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. Inside was a delicate gold anklet, shimmering in the light. He knelt on the floor, lifting her foot and fastening the chain around her ankle.

"A reminder," he said, looking up at her. "Every time you hear the little chime of the gold, remember that you are the queen of my heart. And that I am the only king allowed in your castle."

He stood up, kissing her deeply, a slow, lingering taste of wine and devotion. The jealousy had faded, replaced by his usual, overwhelming tenderness. But they both knew that the fire was still there, simmering beneath the surface, ready to be stoked the moment anyone else dared to step too close to his sun.

"I love you, Taehyung," she whispered against his lips.

"I love you more than my life," he replied, picking her up and carrying her toward the window seat, where they spent the rest of the golden afternoon simply existing in each other's light, the world outside forgotten, and the shadows of the night before finally laid to rest.
