In this Social Media AU-style university plot, Net and JJ are both part of their student council and have always maintained a completely professional relationship—calm, respectful, and “safe” in the eyes of everyone around them. To them, that’s exactly how it needs to be: they assume nothing could possibly exist between them emotionally, so they never risk testing the water. Neither of them wants to jeopardize the council, their friendship, or the stability of what they have—because even the thought of it drifting them apart scares them more than letting feelings stay hidden. That changes at a school event after-party for the student council. Everything is normal at first—until JJ drinks a little too much and, overwhelmed, slips away from the room to sit on the sidewalk outside, crying in private. Net notices late, finds him there, and—without realizing what triggered the breakdown—offers his presence and comfort. He stays close, attentive and gentle, trying to pull JJ out of the moment, but JJ can only look at Net and keep crying, as if Net is the only person who can make the feelings finally spill. Neither of them knows that a school-designated media account has been taking random photos throughout the event, and one candid shot—capturing their intimate posture and angle—gets uploaded after the event ends. The next day, students spot the photo and immediately turn it into gossip. Net and JJ are suddenly “a thing” to the rumor mill, and speculation spreads fast—far faster than either of them hears about it. The truth doesn’t reach them until a seemingly ordinary council meeting turns into an interrogation. Keng, Namping, Ohm, Latte, and Kim (all boys), stare at them like they already know the answer, and JJ—realizing they’ve clearly been targeted by rumor—finally steps in and tells Net and the room what’s being said. Net and JJ explain the context behind the photo without making it a public spectacle, choosing to let the gossip die on its own rather than escalate it. But the moment they share that explanation, something inside them shifts. They realize the silence between them isn’t neutral—it’s just fear. And in the aftermath of the interrogation, Net and JJ both finally confess, each admitting what they’ve been holding back for too long—turning their professional “safe zone” into something honest, but still uncertain, as they try to figure out what comes next without losing each other.
