Private Not Secret

The War of the Roses (With More Highlighters and Less Sleep)

**[LIVESTREAM STATUS: LIVE 🔴 – VIEWERS: 1.2M]** **[CAMERA 04: KITCHEN/DINING AREA – 07:45 AM]**

The first morning of *The Blueprint House* began not with a sunrise, but with the sound of a ceramic mug hitting a marble countertop with the force of a gavel.

JJ, wearing a hoodie so oversized he looked like a grumpy turtle, was staring at the coffee machine as if it had personally insulted his lineage. Net, looking offensively well-rested in a silk robe that cost more than JJ’s first car, leaned against the refrigerator.

"You’re doing it wrong," Net said. His voice was that specific brand of morning-smooth that usually made JJ want to either kiss him or push him into a pool. Since there were six cameras in the kitchen, JJ chose the latter—mentally.

"It’s a button, Net," JJ rasped, his voice thick with sleep. "I press the button, the bean juice comes out. There is no 'wrong'."

Net stepped into JJ’s personal space, reaching around him to adjust the setting on the grinder. To the viewers, it looked like a classic power move. To JJ, it was the familiar scent of Net’s expensive sandalwood soap and the heat of a body he’d slept next to for half a decade.

"You’re using the coarse grind for an espresso shot," Net murmured, his lips dangerously close to JJ’s ear. "It’ll taste like battery acid. But then again, you’ve always had the palate of a street cat."

JJ turned his head, his nose nearly brushing Net’s cheek. "And you have the ego of a small dictator. Move. You’re blocking the light."

"I *am* the light, JJ. The producers told me so."

JJ scoffed, shoving Net’s chest with the palm of his hand. "The producers told you that so you’d stop pouting in the makeup chair. Get out. Go do your skincare or whatever it is you do for three hours."

**[LIVE CHAT LOG]** **@Net_Is_King:** HE IS WEARING THE ROBE. RIP TO US. **@JJ_Writer_Stan:** Look at JJ’s face. He is 100% done with Net’s existence and it’s only 8 AM. **@ShipperHeart:** Did anyone see the way Net leaned in? That wasn't 'rival' energy, that was 'I want to eat you' energy. **@DMD_Truth:** The way JJ didn't even flinch when Net got that close... they are SO used to each other. **@Cupcake99:** "Palate of a street cat" LMAO Net is such a brat.

The cast was gathered on the floor, tasked with building a miniature model of a "dream house" using only popsicle sticks and hot glue. It was supposed to be a team-building exercise. For Net and JJ, it was a declaration of war.

"The structural integrity of this balcony is non-existent," JJ said, pointing a glue gun at Net’s hand. "If you put that stick there, the whole thing will collapse."

Net didn't look up, meticulously layering sticks with the precision of a diamond cutter. "It’s an aesthetic choice, JJ. Not everything has to be a boring, sturdy box. It’s called 'flair'."

"It’s called 'a safety hazard'," JJ countered. "You’re building a house, not a stage set for your next musical."

"Maybe I want my dream house to have a little drama," Net said, finally looking up with a sharp, challenging smirk. "Unlike your side of the house, which looks like a library for people who find beige too exciting."

JJ’s eyes narrowed. He reached over and snatched a stick right out of Net’s hand. "Give me that. You’re banned from the glue gun."

"Hey! That’s property damage!" Net lunged for the stick, and for a chaotic thirty seconds, the two of them were a blur of limbs and laughter-disguised-as-shouting on the rug.

Net ended up pinned under JJ’s knees, holding the glue gun aloft like a trophy. "Surrender, Khun Writer! Admit my balcony is visionary!"

JJ was flushed, his glasses sliding down his nose. "I will admit nothing! You’re a menace to architecture!"

The other actors in the room were awkwardly gluing their own sticks, exchanging glances that said, *Are we witnessing a fight or a mating ritual?*

**[TWITTER/X TRENDING: #BlueprintHouseDay1]** **@NetJJ_Daily:** [CLIP: 0:15] Look at Net’s hand on JJ’s waist during the scuffle. He’s 'holding him back' but his thumb is literally rubbing JJ’s side?? HELLO?? **@DramaLover:** I’ve never seen two people hate each other this much while looking like they’re having the time of their lives. **@Technical_Writer:** The way JJ adjusted Net’s collar right after they stood up... it was so fast, like a reflex. You don't do that for a rival. You do that for someone you’ve lived with for years.

The lights were dimmed to a soft blue. The 24/7 livestream was at its peak viewership because, due to a "logistical error" (read: a producer who knew exactly what they were doing), Net and JJ had been assigned the only room with a single king-sized bed.

JJ was sitting up, his laptop glowing in the dark. Net was lying flat on his back, staring at the ceiling.

"Turn it off," Net groaned. "The clicking is keeping me awake."

"I have a deadline, Net. The world doesn't stop just because you need your beauty sleep," JJ replied, his fingers flying across the keys.

Net rolled onto his side, propping his head up on his hand. He watched JJ for a long moment, the playful instigator persona slipping just enough to reveal a quiet, intense focus. "You’re overthinking the third act. Just let the protagonist be happy for once."

JJ paused, his fingers hovering over the keyboard. He didn't look at Net. "Happiness is boring to read."

"It’s not boring to live," Net said softly.

JJ finally turned his head. The blue light of the laptop screen caught the reflection in his glasses. The air in the room shifted, the bickering of the day replaced by a heavy, familiar gravity.

"Go to sleep, Net," JJ said, but the 'incendiary' edge was gone. It was almost a plea.

Net reached out, his hand disappearing into the shadows between them. On the screen, the viewers could only see Net’s arm move. They couldn't see his fingers gently hooking into the hem of JJ’s shirt, a silent anchor.

"Only if you promise to stop by 12:15," Net murmured. "You have bags under your eyes. The fans will think I’m mistreating you."

"You *are* mistreating me. You stole all the good pillows."

"I’m a growing boy. I need support."

JJ let out a small, tired huff that was dangerously close to a laugh. "Fine. 12:15. Now shut up."

**[LIVE CHAT LOG]** **@NightOwl:** THE WHISPERING. I CAN'T HEAR THEM BUT I AM SCREAMING. **@Detective_DMD:** Did Net just touch him? Under the covers? Look at the blanket move! **@Shipper_01:** They look so domestic. The way JJ didn't even argue about the 12:15 deadline... he actually listened to him. **@GhostShip:** If this is 'beef,' I want a steak. This is pure romance.

**DAY 2: THE MASK SLIPS**

Day 2 began with a "Morning Wake-Up Mission." The producers sent a loud, energetic host into the rooms at 6 AM with a megaphone.

When they burst into Room 01, the scene was not what the audience expected from "rivals."

Net was fast asleep, his face buried in the crook of JJ’s neck. JJ had one arm thrown over Net’s back, his fingers curled into the fabric of Net’s t-shirt. They were tangled together like two vines that had grown around each other for years.

The moment the megaphone blared, JJ bolted upright, nearly knocking Net off the bed.

Net let out a sound that was less of a "respected actor" roar and more of a confused whimper. "Wha... JJ? Is the building on fire?"

JJ was blinking rapidly, his hair a chaotic nest. He looked at the camera crew, then at Net—who was currently trying to crawl back under JJ’s arm—and then back at the camera.

"Get out," JJ said, his voice a low, terrifying growl.

"It’s time for the morning mission!" the host chirped, looking slightly terrified. "You two are the last ones up!"

Net sat up, rubbing his eyes. He looked at JJ, then realized the cameras were capturing his 'vulnerable' morning face. He immediately shifted. He smirked, though it was a bit crooked.

"Sorry," Net said to the camera, his voice still raspy. "Khun Writer here has a habit of using me as a body pillow. It’s very clingy. I’m a victim, really."

JJ’s face went from pale to beet-red in three seconds. "I was not! You were the one who—" He stopped himself, biting his lip. "You’re a liar. I’m going to kill you in your sleep."

"You had the chance for six hours and you didn't take it," Net teased, reaching over to ruffle JJ’s hair.

JJ swatted his hand away, but he didn't move away from Net’s side. The "bickering" felt practiced, a shield they both grabbed for the moment the spotlight hit them.

**[CAMERA 05: THE GARDEN – 04:00 PM]**

The afternoon was spent in a "Truth or Dare" circle with the rest of the cast. The fans were voting on the questions via a live app.

"Okay," the host said, looking at her tablet. "For Net and JJ. This one has ten thousand likes. 'If you had to say one sincere thing you admire about the other person, without any jokes or insults, what would it be?'"

The rest of the cast went "Oooooh," leaning in.

JJ looked like he wanted to swallow a grenade. Net, for the first time in thirty-six hours, looked genuinely stumped. He tapped his chin, his gaze drifting to JJ.

"I’ll go first," Net said. His voice was steady. He didn't look at the camera. He only looked at JJ. "I admire his discipline. When he’s working on something he cares about, the rest of the world just... disappears. He’s the most dedicated person I’ve ever known. It’s intimidating, honestly."

The silence that followed was heavy. No jokes. No smirks. Just a raw, honest observation.

JJ stared at him, his throat working as he swallowed. He cleared his throat, looking down at his hands.

"I admire his... his kindness," JJ said, his voice barely above a whisper. "He acts like a brat for the cameras, but he’s the first person to notice when someone in the room is uncomfortable. He takes care of people without making a scene about it. He’s... he’s a good man."

Net’s expression broke. For a split second, the "Dangerously Charismatic" star looked like a boy who had just been given the world. He quickly looked away, coughing into his hand.

"Anyway," Net said, his voice cracking slightly. "He also admires my face. He told me so in 2019."

"I did not!" JJ shouted, the shield snapping back into place. "I said you had a 'symmetrical' face! That’s a biological fact, not a compliment!"

"Same thing!"

**[LIVE CHAT LOG]** **@CryingInTheClub:** DID YOU HEAR THAT? THE SINCERITY? **@Logic_Seeker:** "He takes care of people without making a scene." JJ IS TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF. NET TAKES CARE OF JJ. **@NetJJ_Real:** Look at Net’s ears. They’re bright red. He’s actually flustered. **@Shipper_Queen:** They almost slipped. They almost told us. 5 years... they’ve been doing this for 5 years.

**DAY 3: THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM**

By the third day, the house had settled into a rhythm. The initial shock of the "rivals" living together had worn off, replaced by a strange, domestic tension that the fans were dissecting frame by frame.

Net and JJ were sitting on the porch, a single plate of sliced mango between them. They weren't talking. JJ was reading a book, and Net was scrolling through his phone, his feet resting on the coffee table.

Occasionally, without looking up, Net would pick up a piece of mango and hold it out. JJ would lean over, take it from the fork, and go back to reading.

It was a wordless, effortless exchange. It was the kind of intimacy that couldn't be faked for a reality show. It was the result of a thousand Sunday afternoons spent in the same position.

"You’re getting juice on the page," Net said quietly, his eyes still on his phone.

"Mmm," JJ responded.

"It’s a first edition, JJ. Be careful."

"You bought it for me. Why do you care?"

Net finally looked up, a small, private smile playing on his lips. "Because I want to be able to read it when you’re done."

JJ looked over the top of his glasses. "You don't read anything that isn't a script with your name on it."

"I read your grocery lists. They’re very poetic. Especially the part where you ask for more highlighters."

JJ rolled his eyes, but he shifted his legs so they were resting against Net’s. "Shut up, Net."

"Make me, Khun Writer."

They sat there in the afternoon sun, two men who the world thought were enemies, sharing a plate of fruit and a lifetime of secrets. The cameras were rolling, the fans were theorizing, and the "rivalry" was trending—but in that small corner of the porch, they were just themselves.

And as the sun began to dip below the horizon, the facade was starting to feel a lot heavier than the truth.

**[FORUM THREAD: REDDIT/R/DMD_DISCUSS]** **TOPIC: Is it just me or is the NetJJ 'beef' starting to look like a long-term marriage?** **User_44:** I’ve been watching the 24/7 stream for 48 hours straight. They don't act like rivals. They act like people who have nothing left to prove to each other. **User_Writer:** Did anyone catch the moment JJ went to the kitchen for water at 3 AM and Net followed him without saying a word, just to make sure he didn't trip in the dark? **User_NetFan:** The way they share food... the way Net knows JJ’s schedule... the way JJ knows exactly how Net takes his coffee... **User_Chaos:** I’m telling you, the 'Twist' isn't that they’re in the house together. The twist is that we’ve been blind for five years. They aren't fighting. They’re just... existing. Together. **User_Final:** Just wait for Day 4. Something is going to break. I can feel it.
