Puppy In Love
The Predator and the Pet
The morning light filtered through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Luka’s penthouse, casting long, sharp shadows across the rumpled sheets. Sergio was awake before the sun had fully cleared the Madrid skyline. He lay perfectly still, his large frame sprawled across the king-sized bed, feeling the unfamiliar but intoxicating weight of Luka’s head resting against his bicep.
For months, Sergio had lived in a state of perpetual, vibrating tension. He had been a star in the making, a record-breaking signing, a powerhouse on the pitch, but in the presence of Luka Modrić, he had felt like a clumsy intruder. Now, the silence of the room was filled only by the rhythmic, soft breathing of the man he had worshipped from afar.
Sergio shifted slightly, his eyes tracing the line of Luka’s shoulder. The silk robe from the night before was discarded on the floor, and in the pale light, Sergio could see the faint, blossoming bruises he had left on Luka’s thighs. A surge of possessive heat flared in his gut. He had done that. He had finally touched the untouchable.
Luka stirred, a small, disgruntled sound escaping his throat as he blinked his eyes open. He didn't look like a legendary midfielder in this moment; he looked soft, his blonde hair a chaotic mess against the pillows. But as his gaze sharpened and landed on Sergio, the softness vanished, replaced by that sharp, knowing glint that always made Sergio feel like he was standing on the edge of a cliff.
"You’re staring, puppy," Luka croaked, his voice gravelly with sleep. "It’s creepy."
Sergio grinned, unable to help himself. The bravado that had sustained him through the night returned in a rush. "I’m just admiring my handiwork. You look good with my marks on you, Luka."
Luka let out a dry, short laugh and rolled onto his back, stretching his arms over his head. The movement caused the duvet to slip, revealing the corded muscle of his stomach and the tops of those incredible thighs. Sergio’s mouth went dry instantly.
"Don't get ahead of yourself," Luka said, reaching out to flick Sergio’s nose. "One night doesn't mean you’ve conquered anything. You were clumsy. Eager, but clumsy."
Sergio leaned over him, pinning Luka’s wrists to the mattress with one hand. The size difference was staggering; Sergio’s hand nearly circled both of Luka’s delicate wrists. "I told you I’d be whatever you want. If I was clumsy, teach me how to be better. I’m a fast learner."
Luka looked up at him, his blue eyes dark and unreadable. He didn't struggle against the hold. In fact, he seemed to lean into the restraint, a small, smirk playing on his lips. "You really are desperate for it, aren't you? The discipline. The control."
"Only from you," Sergio whispered, his voice dropping an octave. "I spend all day being the big man, the tough defender. Everyone expects me to be the one in charge. But with you... I just want to be yours. Tell me what to do, Luka. Tell me how to please you."
Luka’s expression shifted, the teasing edge softening into something more predatory. He hooked one leg around Sergio’s hip, the sheer strength of his quadriceps pulling Sergio down until their chests were flushed together.
"Then get up," Luka commanded, his voice suddenly firm. "Go to the kitchen. Make me coffee. And don't put that disgusting amount of sugar in it like you do yours. Black. Strong."
Sergio blinked, surprised by the mundane request, but he didn't hesitate. He rolled out of bed, standing tall and unabashedly naked in the center of the room. He felt Luka’s eyes traveling down his spine, lingering on the muscles of his back and legs.
"Yes, sir," Sergio said, the words tasting like honey on his tongue.
"And Sergio?" Luka called out as Sergio reached the door.
Sergio turned back, his heart racing. "Yeah?"
"Put some clothes on. You look like a stray."
Sergio chuckled, a bright, genuine sound, and hurried to find his discarded trousers.
The rest of the morning followed a strange, domestic rhythm that Sergio hadn't expected. He made the coffee, standing at the sleek marble counter while Luka emerged dressed in a fresh pair of training shorts and a loose t-shirt. They sat on the balcony, overlooking the city that treated them like gods, but here, they were just two men.
"The guys are going to notice," Sergio said after a long silence, gesturing vaguely toward the bruises he knew were hidden under Luka’s shorts.
Luka took a slow sip of his coffee, unfazed. "Let them notice. They won't say a word. They know better than to question me."
"And what about us? At Valdebebas?" Sergio leaned forward, his eyes searching Luka’s face. "Are we going back to you calling me a kid and laughing at me?"
Luka set his cup down and looked at Sergio intently. The veteran’s presence was so dense it felt like it occupied the entire balcony. "Sergio, you *are* a kid. You have so much to learn about this game, and even more to learn about life. But..." he paused, his gaze softening just a fraction, "I like having a dog that listens. As long as you remember your place, we won't have a problem."
Sergio felt a thrill of submission shoot through him. It was a bizarre dynamic—he was the physical giant, the one who could easily overpower the smaller man, yet he felt completely subservient to Luka’s will. He wanted to be under Luka’s thumb. He wanted to be the one who fetched Luka’s water, who guarded his back on the pitch, and who knelt at his feet in the dark.
"I won't forget," Sergio promised.
The drive to training was a blur. They arrived separately, maintaining the professional distance that was required of them. In the locker room, the atmosphere was thick with the usual banter. Iker was shouting about a missed parry, and Marcelo was playing music too loudly.
Sergio kept his head down, focusing on lacing his boots, but his eyes kept drifting to Luka across the room. The older man was calm, composed, the quintessential professional. He didn't look at Sergio once, not until they were walking out onto the pitch for the morning drills.
As they passed through the tunnel, Luka slowed his pace just enough for Sergio to catch up.
"Keep your head in the game, puppy," Luka murmured, so low that only Sergio could hear. "If you miss a tackle today because you’re thinking about last night, I’ll make sure you regret it."
Sergio’s pulse spiked. "Is that a threat or a promise?"
Luka didn't answer, merely darting out onto the grass with a burst of speed that left Sergio trailing behind, grinning like an idiot.
The training session was grueling. The coach was pushing them hard, preparing for the upcoming derby. Sergio played with a renewed intensity, his body feeling electric. Every time he successfully intercepted a ball or won a header, he looked for Luka.
During a 5-a-side scrimmage, Sergio found himself marking Luka. It was a nightmare for any defender. Luka was low to the ground, his center of gravity making him impossible to knock off the ball. His footwork was a ballet of precision.
Sergio lunged for the ball, but Luka pivoted, his thick thigh shielding the play. Sergio collided with him, his chest hitting Luka’s back. For a split second, the heat of the night before returned—the scent of Luka’s skin, the way he had felt in Sergio’s arms. Sergio’s grip tightened on Luka’s waist, a foul that was blatant and unnecessary.
The whistle blew.
"Ramos! What are you doing?" the assistant coach yelled. "This isn't wrestling!"
Luka stood still, Sergio’s hands still resting on his hips. He turned his head slightly, a dangerous spark in his eyes. He didn't look annoyed; he looked challenged.
"Focus, Sergio," Luka said loudly for the benefit of the team. Then, leaning in closer, he whispered, "Careful. You’re showing your teeth in public. Save it for later."
Sergio let go, his face flushing. He backed away, raising his hands in apology, but his mind was already miles away, imagining the 'later' Luka had mentioned.
After training, the exhaustion began to set in, but Sergio felt a desperate need to be near Luka again. He waited by Luka’s car in the parking lot, leaning against the sleek black metal as the sun began to dip.
When Luka finally appeared, he looked tired, his bag slung over his shoulder. He stopped a few feet away, surveying Sergio with an arched eyebrow.
"You’re like a shadow," Luka remarked, though there was no real bite in his tone.
"I wanted to know if I’m coming over tonight," Sergio said, his usual confidence wavering slightly. "Or if you’re tired of me already."
Luka walked up to him, standing close enough that Sergio could smell the soap from his post-training shower. He reached out, his fingers trailing along the line of Sergio’s jaw before gripping his chin firmly.
"I haven't decided yet," Luka said, his voice a low hum. "You were distracted today. You let your emotions cloud your performance. A good dog stays focused on the task at hand."
"I’m sorry," Sergio said, his voice thick. "I just... I can't stop thinking about you."
Luka’s thumb brushed over Sergio’s lower lip. "I know. It’s written all over your face. It’s pathetic, really." He leaned in, his breath warm against Sergio’s ear. "Go home. Shower. Eat. If you’re lucky, I’ll text you an address. There’s a quiet place I know, away from the cameras."
Sergio’s heart leaped. "I’ll be there. Anywhere."
Luka pulled back, a small, triumphant smile on his face. He hopped into his car and drove off, leaving Sergio standing in the middle of the lot, vibrating with anticipation.
The address Luka sent was to a small, secluded villa on the outskirts of the city. When Sergio arrived, the gate opened automatically. The house was surrounded by high stone walls and lush greenery, a sanctuary of privacy.
He found Luka by the pool, the water glowing a soft turquoise in the twilight. Luka was wearing nothing but a pair of swimming trunks, his muscular legs stretched out on a lounge chair. He looked up as Sergio approached, his expression unreadable.
"You’re early again," Luka noted.
"I don't like keeping you waiting," Sergio replied, stepping out of his shoes and shedding his shirt.
Luka watched him, his gaze heavy and deliberate. "Come here, Sergio."
Sergio walked over, standing beside the lounge chair. Luka reached out, his hand wrapping around Sergio’s calf, his thumb pressing into the muscle.
"You’re so big," Luka mused, almost to himself. "So much wasted potential in all this muscle. You think you’re the one in control because you can lift me, don't you?"
Sergio looked down at him, his breath hitching. "I know you’re the one in control, Luka. I’ve known that since the first time I saw you play."
Luka stood up, his shorter frame forcing Sergio to look down, yet the power dynamic remained firmly skewed. Luka stepped into Sergio’s space, his hands sliding up Sergio’s chest to rest on his shoulders.
"Tonight, we aren't teammates," Luka whispered. "Tonight, you aren't the star defender of Real Madrid. You’re just mine. Do you understand?"
"Yes," Sergio gasped, his hands finding Luka’s waist, pulling him flush against his body.
Luka’s hands moved to the back of Sergio’s neck, his fingers tangling in the shorter hair there. He pulled Sergio down, not for a kiss, but so their foreheads were touching.
"I’m going to break you, puppy," Luka promised, his voice a dark, velvet promise. "I’m going to make you forget your own name. And when I’m done, you’re going to thank me for it."
Sergio didn't say a word. He couldn't. He simply picked Luka up, the older man’s legs immediately locking around his waist with a strength that made Sergio’s ribs ache. He carried him toward the house, his mind a whirlwind of devotion and desire.
Inside, the air was cool, but the heat between them was suffocating. Sergio laid Luka down on the bed, but before he could move over him, Luka rolled, pinning Sergio to the mattress instead.
Luka sat astride Sergio’s chest, his weight concentrated and commanding. He looked down at the younger man, his blonde hair falling forward, his eyes burning with a cold, beautiful fire.
"You wanted to see what a veteran could do?" Luka asked, his hands moving to the waistband of Sergio’s trousers. "You wanted to see the difference between a boy and a man?"
"Show me," Sergio begged, his hands reaching up to grip Luka’s thighs, the muscle beneath his palms feeling like granite. "Please, Luka. Show me everything."
Luka leaned down, his lips brushing against Sergio’s ear. "Quiet, puppy. The lesson is just beginning."
As the night unfolded, Sergio realized he had been wrong about everything. He had thought he wanted to dominate Luka, to manhandle him and prove his strength. But as Luka led him through a masterclass of pleasure and pain, of control and surrender, Sergio realized that his true strength lay in his ability to give himself over completely to the man he loved.
He was a puppy, perhaps. He was young, and he was loud, and he was often a fool. Но under the guidance of Luka Modrić, he was becoming something more. He was becoming exactly what Luka needed—a fierce, loyal protector who knew when to bite and when to heel.
And as Sergio lay exhausted in the early hours of the morning, his head finally resting between those powerful, crushing thighs he had dreamt of for so long, he knew he would never want to be anywhere else. He was the legend's dog, and it was the highest honor he had ever received.
