The Gilded Echo

The morning after the penthouse was a hollow, ringing silence. Stella sat in the back of her group’s van, her face hidden behind oversized sunglasses and a mask, watching the neon signs of Seoul blur into streaks of tired light. Her body felt like a map of Martin’s possessiveness. Every muscle ache, every localized sting on her hips, and the heavy, lingering sensation deep in her womb were constant reminders of her surrender.

She was supposed to be preparing for a collaborative stage—a special performance at the upcoming Gayo Daejeon where members of Hearts 2 Hearts and Cortis would perform a high-concept dance break. It was meant to be the pinnacle of their professional rivalry, a treat for the fans who obsessed over their "ice-cold" chemistry.

When she entered the practice room at the company headquarters, the air was already vibrating with the sound of a heavy bassline. Martin was there, center stage, marking through the choreography with a precision that was almost surgical. He looked immaculate in a grey sweatshirt and joggers, sweat dampening the hair at his temples. He didn't stop when she walked in; he simply caught her eye in the floor-to-ceiling mirrors.

The look he gave her was enough to make her knees buckle. It wasn't the look of a colleague or even a rival. It was the look of a man who had seen her at her most broken and her most beautiful, and who knew he could do it again at any moment.

"You're late, Stella," the performance director barked, clapping his hands. "Positions. We’re working on the partner section."

Stella moved to her spot, her heart hammering against her ribs. The choreography was intimate—dangerously so. It required her to lean into Martin, to let him lift her, to trust his strength. As the music swelled, they moved together. In the eyes of the backup dancers and the staff, it was a masterpiece of synchronization. To Stella, it was a battle.

During a sequence where Martin had to pull her flush against his back, his hand gripped her waist exactly where the bruises were darkest. He didn't hold back. He squeezed, his thumb digging into the tender flesh, a silent command for her to remember.

"Focus," he whispered into her ear as they spun. "You're stiff. Are you still sore, princess?"

"Shut up," she hissed, her breath hitching as he dipped her low, his face inches from hers.

The rehearsal lasted for four grueling hours. By the end, the other members had trickled out to their respective schedules, leaving Stella and Martin alone in the vast, mirrored room. The silence that followed the music was heavy, charged with the same electricity that always preceded their explosions.

Stella went to the corner to grab her water bottle, her hands shaking. She could see him in the mirror, watching her. He didn't move; he just stood in the center of the room, a predator observing his prey in a cage of glass.

"You were looking at the lead singer of Zenith in the hallway earlier," Martin said, his voice echoing off the walls. It was low, calm, and terrifying.

Stella froze. She had passed Minho in the hall on her way in. They hadn't even spoken; she had merely given him a polite, professional nod to acknowledge his existence after the disaster in the dressing room.

"I didn't even speak to him, Martin. Don't start this," she said, her voice trembling.

"I don't care if you spoke to him," Martin said, walking toward her with slow, measured steps. "I saw the way he looked at you. He looked at you like he still thinks he has a chance. Like he hasn't realized yet that you’re off-limits."

"You can't control everyone who looks at me!" she cried, turning to face him. "This is insane. You're acting like a madman."

Martin reached her in three strides. He didn't grab her; he simply leaned over her, his shadow swallowing her whole. "I’m acting like a man who doesn't like other people touching his things. And you, Stella, are very much mine."

He reached out, his hand sliding into her hair and tilting her head back. "I think you need another reminder. You seem to forget the rules the moment I’m out of your sight."

"Not here," she whispered, her eyes darting toward the security camera in the corner of the ceiling. "Martin, the cameras—"

"I had the security feed for this floor looped ten minutes ago," he murmured, a dark smirk playing on his lips. "I told you, I’m the golden boy. I have friends in every department."

He didn't wait for her to protest. He hoisted her up, sitting her on the edge of the high ballet barre that ran along the wall. The cold wood pressed against her thighs, a sharp contrast to the heat of his palms. He pushed her practice leggings down with a rough, impatient energy, his eyes devouring the sight of the marks he had left on her skin.

"Look at this," he commanded, his voice dropping into that deep, gravelly register. "Every one of these is mine. Do you think Minho would know what to do with a woman like you? Do you think he could handle how much you need to be broken?"

"Daddy, please," she whimpered, her pride dissolving the moment his fingers touched her. "I wasn't looking at him, I swear."

"I know you weren't," Martin said, unzipping his pants. "But he was looking at you. And for that, you’re going to have to work a little harder today."

He didn't give her time to prepare. He grabbed her by the backs of her thighs and pulled her to the very edge of the barre, entering her with a single, punishing thrust that made the entire wooden structure creak.

Stella let out a sharp cry, her fingers clawing at his shoulders. The angle was steep, forcing him deeper than he had ever been. He was hitting her with a rhythmic, territorial fury, his chest heaving against hers.

"Ride it, Stella," he ordered, his hands moving to her waist to steady her. "Show me who you belong to. Scream it so the mirrors shake."

Stella began to move, her body taking over where her mind failed. She gripped the barre behind her for leverage, her back arching as she took him in. The friction was overwhelming, the sensation of him filling her in the middle of their workplace, under the bright fluorescent lights, adding a layer of illicit thrill that made her climax loom like a storm.

"I'm yours," she sobbed, her head falling onto his shoulder. "Only yours, Daddy. Please, more... give me more."

Martin’s control snapped at the sound of her pleading. He ramped up the speed, his thrusts becoming short, sharp, and brutal. He was bottoming out against her cervix, a sensation so intense it made Stella’s toes curl and her vision blur into a haze of white light.

"That's right," he groaned, his sweat dripping onto her collarbone. "Take it all. Every inch. I want you to feel me in your bones when you’re standing on that stage tomorrow. I want you to remember this every time a camera flashes."

He shifted his grip, lifting her legs and draping them over the barre, allowing him to drive into her with even more force. The impact of their bodies echoed through the empty practice room—a wet, rhythmic thud that sounded like a heartbeat.

Stella was coming apart. The combination of the physical exertion and the psychological weight of his dominance was too much. She felt the coil inside her snap, her internal muscles clenching around him in violent, rhythmic pulses. She screamed his name, her voice raw and echoing, her entire body vibrating with the force of her release.

Martin followed her a second later. He let out a low, guttural growl, his grip on her hips so tight it would surely leave more marks to hide. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, his body shuddering as he filled her, his own climax hitting him with the force of a physical blow.

They stayed there for a long time, the only sound their ragged breathing and the distant hum of the building’s air conditioning. Martin didn't pull away; he held her against the barre, his forehead resting against hers.

"Don't ever let me see another man look at you like that again," he whispered, his voice a dark threat wrapped in a caress. "I won't just ruin him, Stella. I'll make sure you can't walk for a week."

Stella looked at him, her eyes glassy and her heart racing. She knew she should be horrified. She knew she should walk out and never look back. But as she felt the lingering heat of him inside her, she knew she was lost.

"I won't," she whispered.

Martin pulled away, his expression returning to its cool, composed mask. He helped her dress with a clinical efficiency, his fingers lingering on her skin one last time before he stepped back.

"Go back to your dorm," he said, straightening his sweatshirt. "I'll have a car waiting for you at the side entrance. And Stella?"

She looked up at him, her hand on the door handle.

"Wear the blazer tomorrow. I don't want anyone else seeing what I did to you today."

He turned and walked toward the sound system, hitting the play button. The heavy bass of their choreography filled the room again, as if nothing had happened.

Stella stepped out into the hallway, her legs shaking and her soul branded. She was the Queen of Hearts, the lead dancer of the nation’s top girl group, a woman loved by millions. But as she walked toward the exit, she knew the truth.

She was a prisoner in a war she had started, and the only thing more terrifying than her captor was the fact that she never wanted to be set free.
