He doesn't know why he wakes up so suddenly. It's late, his father has finally fallen asleep, and he doesn't want to wake him. It's feels like he's being watched. He goes to the kitchen. He needs some water. Turning toward the glass door that leads to the balcony, he sees him. Two bright red dots in the darkness of the night, along with a blue suit and a patriotic cape billowing behind. Hughie feels like he's dead. Or: Homlander pays Hughie a little visit, suspecting that he and Butcher managed to get hold of some samples of Temp V. Although that's just a mere excuse to see him. After all, John thinks he looks so cute with that fake bravery he's using to hide his fear.
