The Domesticity of a Broken Blade

The morning light filtered through the thin curtains of the Hell’s Kitchen apartment, casting long, dusty fingers across the rumpled sheets. Dex was awake long before the sun had fully cleared the skyline. He remained perfectly still, his body curled into a protective, submissive crescent around Matt’s side. He was hyper-aware of the weight of Matt’s arm draped over his waist, the heavy, rhythmic warmth of the man’s breathing against the nape of his neck.

For Dex, the world was usually a cacophony of variables—wind speed, trajectory, the distance between a target and a kill. But here, in the quiet gravity of Matt’s bedroom, the variables were gone. There was only the scent of cedar and expensive wool, and the grounding pressure of the man who had claimed him.

He felt a shift in the air. Matt’s heart rate climbed a few beats, transitioning from the deep slow-thrum of sleep to the steady awareness of a predator waking up. Matt didn't move immediately; he simply tightened his grip on Dex’s hip, his fingers digging slightly into the soft skin.

"You’re overthinking again, Dex," Matt murmured, his voice thick with sleep, a low vibration that seemed to settle right in Dex’s marrow. "I can hear your brain whirring. Stop it."

Dex shivered, pressing his back closer into Matt’s chest. "I was just... thinking about the list. The laundry. The groceries. You need your blue suit for the hearing this afternoon."

Matt let out a soft, huffing sound that might have been a laugh. He rolled Dex over onto his back, pinning him down with the casual ease of someone who knew exactly how much power he held. Matt’s eyes were closed, his face relaxed, but his presence was suffocating in the best possible way.

"The suit can wait," Matt said. He leaned down, nuzzling into the crook of Dex’s neck, his stubble grazing the sensitive skin. "I want you focused on this. On me. Be my good little wife and stay under me."

Dex’s breath hitched. The "wife" label was a hook that pulled him deeper into the delusion of safety. He reached up, his fingers trembling as he brushed a stray hair from Matt’s forehead. He wanted to be delicate. He wanted to be the soft, domestic thing Matt required, a stark contrast to the sharp-edged monster that lived in his own skin.

"I am," Dex whispered, his eyes wide and pleading. "I’m yours. Use me however you want, Matt. Please. I want to be full of you before you leave for the day."

Matt’s expression darkened, a flicker of that iron-fisted vigilante emerging from the sleepy lawyer. He liked the desperation in Dex’s voice—the way the man who could kill a dozen people with a handful of paperclips reduced himself to a shivering mess for a single word of approval.

Matt reached down, his hand sliding between their bodies. He didn't rush. This wasn't the frantic, desperate heat of the previous night. This was slow, lazy, and possessive. He found Dex’s heat, still slick and slightly swollen from the night before, and pushed a single finger inside.

Dex let out a long, broken moan, his legs falling open instinctively. "Oh God, Matt..."

"Shh," Matt silenced him, leaning down to capture Dex’s lips in a slow, deep kiss. It tasted like morning and intimacy. Matt’s finger moved with a steady, agonizing rhythm, stretching Dex out, reminding him of who owned every inch of his internal space.

Matt pulled back just enough to speak against Dex’s mouth. "I’m going to leave you so heavy with me that you won't be able to think about anything else while I’m at the office. You’re going to stay here, you’re going to do your chores, and you’re going to feel me inside you all day. Do you understand?"

Dex nodded frantically, his hips stuttering upward, seeking more. "Yes. Please. Fill me up. I want to keep it. I want to keep all of it."

The submissive plea triggered something deep in Matt’s gut. He moved away just long enough to shed the few clothes they had slept in, his movements fluid and sightless. When he returned, he guided Dex’s legs up over his shoulders, exposing him completely to the cool morning air.

Matt positioned himself, the broad head of his length pressing against Dex’s entrance. He paused there, listening to the frantic, wet sound of Dex’s breathing, the way his heart hammered against his ribs like a trapped bird.

"You’re so open for me," Matt remarked, his voice dropping to a predatory whisper. "Like you were made for this. Like you were made to be taken."

Then, he pushed forward. He went slow, letting Dex feel the agonizingly gradual stretch of his body being claimed. Dex’s eyes rolled back, his fingers clutching at the headboard, a high, thin whine escaping his throat. It was a slow-motion invasion, a deliberate dismantling of Dex’s defenses.

"Matt, Matt... please, I can't..." Dex gasped, his head tossing from side to side.

"You can," Matt grunted, finally seating himself deep, his pelvis grinding against Dex’s. "Take it all. Be a good girl for me and take every bit of it."

The feminization, the deliberate stripping of his masculine lethality, was the only thing that could quiet the "white noise" in Dex’s head. Being Matt’s wife wasn't just a role; it was a sanctuary. He felt small. He felt cherished. He felt used in the only way that made his soul feel clean.

Matt began to move, a slow, rocking friction that prioritized depth over speed. Each thrust was a heavy, grounding thud that vibrated through Dex’s entire frame. Matt reached down, his thumbs finding Dex’s nipples, pinching and rolling them until Dex was sobbing with a mixture of pain and overstimulated bliss.

"That’s it," Matt encouraged, his voice a velvet rasp. "Cry for me. Let me hear how much you need this."

"I need you," Dex choked out, his voice cracking. "I'm nothing without you. Please, Matt, don't ever let me go. Keep me like this. Keep me full."

Matt’s pace picked up only slightly, the friction building into a dull, throbbing heat. He leaned forward, pinning Dex’s arms above his head with one hand, using the other to stroke Dex’s hair out of his sweaty face. The intimacy was almost more overwhelming than the sex itself. Matt was looking at him—not with eyes, but with a soul-deep focus that saw every crack and fracture in Dex’s psyche.

"I'm going to stay inside you until the very last second," Matt promised, his breath hot against Dex’s ear. "And when I finish, I’m not going to pull out. You’re going to hold me inside you while I get ready. You’re going to carry my seed while you iron my shirts. You’re going to be my perfect, obedient little wife."

The thought of it—of being marked so internally, of carrying that physical weight of Matt’s possession throughout the day—pushed Dex over the precipice. His internal muscles clamped down hard around Matt, a desperate, rhythmic pulsing that drew a low, guttural growl from the lawyer.

"Matt! Now, please, now!" Dex screamed, his back arching off the bed, his entire body vibrating with the force of a shattering climax that he didn't even have to touch himself to achieve.

Matt didn't hold back. He drove into Dex one last time, buried as deep as physically possible, and let out a long, shuddering breath as he released inside him. He didn't pull away. He collapsed onto Dex, his heavy weight a comforting shroud, his forehead resting against Dex’s.

They stayed like that for a long time, the only sound the ticking of the clock and their synchronized breathing. Dex felt heavy, warm, and utterly conquered. The chaos in his mind had been replaced by a singular, golden glow of belonging.

Slowly, Matt began to shift, but as he started to withdraw, Dex’s hands flew to his hips, gripping him with surprising strength.

"No," Dex whispered, his eyes rimmed with red, pleading. "Not yet. You promised."

Matt paused, a small, knowing smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. He could feel the warmth of his own release slick between them, the way Dex was trying to tilt his pelvis up to keep everything trapped inside.

"I have a meeting at ten, Dex," Matt reminded him, though he didn't pull away. He reached out, cupping Dex’s cheek, his thumb tracing the line of a scar. "But I suppose I can give you a few more minutes."

Matt shifted, rolling them both onto their sides so they were still joined, Dex’s back pressed against Matt’s chest in a lazy, intimate spoon. He wrapped his arms around Dex, his large hands resting over Dex’s stomach, splayed wide as if to feel the warmth he had left inside.

"You feel so good," Matt murmured, his voice vibrating against Dex’s spine. "So soft. It’s hard to believe those hands of yours are so dangerous."

"They aren't," Dex said, his voice small and certain. "Not here. Here, they only belong to you. I’ll make breakfast. I’ll fix the leak in the bathroom. I’ll be good."

"I know you will," Matt said. He nipped at the back of Dex’s neck, a sharp little sting that made Dex moan softly. "Because if you aren't, I’ll have to find a much more... permanent way to keep you in line. And we both know you’d like that too much."

Dex closed his eyes, a stray tear of pure, unadulterated relief sliding down his cheek. "Yes. I would."

Eventually, the reality of the world intruded. Matt reluctantly withdrew, the sound of it making Dex whimper in loss. Matt stood up, stretching his lean, scarred muscles, and headed toward the bathroom.

"Don't clean yourself up yet," Matt called out over his shoulder, his voice stern. "I want you to stay just like that until I’m dressed. Consider it your first task of the day."

Dex lay on the bed, his legs slightly apart, feeling the slow, heavy trickle of Matt’s possession. He felt a sense of purpose he had never found in a firing range or a tactical briefing. He was a wife. He was a servant. He was loved by a man who could see the devil in him and choose to chain it.

As the sound of the shower started, Dex sat up slowly, his movements careful and delicate. He looked at the blue suit hanging on the back of the door, waiting to be pressed. He looked at the kitchen, waiting for the smell of coffee and the sounds of a home.

He was Ben Poindexter, a man who had been a ghost, a weapon, a failure. But in this room, under the weight of Matt Murdock’s shadow, he was exactly what he was meant to be.

He was home.
