The Love Between Us
The Friction of the Golden Hour
The dorm was silent, bathed in the amber glow of a single floor lamp that cast long, dramatic shadows across the living room. It was that rare, fleeting window of time between a grueling eighteen-hour schedule and the inevitable collapse into sleep. The other members had already vanished into their respective rooms, leaving a heavy, peaceful stillness in their wake.
Minho was slumped on the sofa, his long legs stretched out and crossed at the ankles. His blonde hair was a mess, several strands falling over his eyes, and his shirt was unbuttoned at the collar, revealing the sharp line of his collarbones. He looked every bit the exhausted idol, yet there was still an air of untouchable authority about him, a quiet gravity that always drew Jisung in.
Jisung was sitting on the floor between Minho’s knees, his back pressed against the cushions. His burgundy hair was vibrant against the dark fabric of Minho’s sweatpants. He had been unusually quiet for the last twenty minutes, his head tilted back to rest against Minho’s thigh, watching the way the older boy’s chest rose and fell with every slow breath.
"You’re thinking too loud, Hanji," Minho murmured, his voice a low, gravelly vibration that sent a shiver straight down Jisung’s spine. He didn't open his eyes, but his hand came down to rest on Jisung’s shoulder, his thumb idly tracing the line of his neck.
Jisung shifted, the silk of his pajama bottoms sliding against Minho’s rougher cotton. "I’m just thinking about the practice today. You were... intense."
"I was necessary," Minho corrected, finally opening his eyes to look down at the younger boy. His gaze was dark, hooded with fatigue but sharpened by a sudden, flickering interest. "You were drifting. I had to anchor you."
Jisung let out a breathy laugh, turning his head to press his cheek against Minho’s knee. "You anchored me, alright. I can still feel the 'anchor' marks on my skin."
Minho’s lips quirked into a ghost of a smirk. He moved his hand from Jisung’s shoulder to his hair, his fingers tangling in the burgundy strands and tugging gently. "Are you complaining? Because I recall you saying you liked it when I handled you."
"I’m not complaining," Jisung whispered, his voice dropping an octave. "I’m reflecting."
Slowly, deliberately, Jisung began to move. He shifted his weight, pushing himself up from the floor until he was kneeling between Minho’s legs. The height difference was negated now, their faces mere inches apart. Jisung could smell the peppermint on Minho’s breath and the faint, clean scent of his skin.
Minho didn't pull back. He simply watched, his expression unreadable, though his pupils had blown wide, swallowing the hazel of his irises. He looked like a predator waiting to see if the prey was brave enough to strike.
Jisung reached out, his hands trembling slightly as he rested them on Minho’s shoulders. He felt the solid muscle beneath the thin fabric, the strength that both terrified and comforted him. He leaned forward, his chest brushing against Minho’s, and then, with a bold, heart-stopping swallow, he climbed onto Minho’s lap.
Minho let out a sharp, hissed intake of breath as Jisung settled over him, his legs straddling Minho’s hips. The contact was electric. Jisung was soft where Minho was hard, a perfect, contrasting fit.
"Jisung," Minho warned, his voice a low rumble of caution. "What do you think you’re doing?"
"I’m being a brat, remember?" Jisung murmured, his eyes locked onto Minho’s. "I’m testing the boundaries."
To emphasize his point, Jisung shifted his hips. It wasn't a subtle movement. He leaned back slightly, his hands moving to Minho’s chest for balance, and began to grind slowly, rhythmically against him. The friction of their bodies, separated only by thin layers of fabric, was an agonizingly sweet torture.
Minho’s hands flew to Jisung’s waist, his fingers digging into the soft flesh of his hips with a bruising force. He let out a low growl, a sound that was half-protest and half-encouragement. "You have no idea what you’re playing with."
"I think I do," Jisung panted, his movements becoming more insistent. He was chasing the heat, the friction, the feeling of being completely under Minho’s control even while he was the one initiating the contact. He leaned down, his lips brushing against Minho’s ear. "Do you like this, daddy? Does it make you want to anchor me again?"
The use of the nickname was the breaking point. Minho’s composure snapped like a dry twig. He let out a choked sound and surged upward, his mouth crashing against Jisung’s in a kiss that was less of an invitation and more of a conquest. It was messy and desperate, a collision of teeth and tongues that tasted of raw, unfiltered desire.
Minho’s hands moved from Jisung’s waist to his back, pulling him flush against his chest so there was no space left between them. The grinding continued, fueled now by the frantic energy of the kiss. Jisung felt a wave of pure, unadulterated pleasure wash over him, his head spinning as Minho took control of the rhythm, his powerful thighs pushing up against Jisung’s smaller frame.
"You... little... devil," Minho gasped against Jisung’s lips, breaking the kiss just long enough to draw air. His face was flushed, his blonde hair falling into his eyes, his expression one of pure, possessive hunger.
"Show me," Jisung pleaded, his voice breaking. "Show me what happens when I push too far."
Minho didn't need to be told twice. He grabbed the back of Jisung’s head, his fingers tangling painfully in the burgundy hair, and tilted his head back. He began to trail a line of biting, bruising kisses down Jisung’s throat, marking the sensitive skin with a territorial ferocity.
Jisung’s back arched, his hands clutching at Minho’s shoulders as he rode the waves of sensation. The friction was becoming unbearable, a building pressure in his gut that threatened to shatter him. He ground his hips harder, a desperate whimper escaping his throat as he felt Minho’s hardness pressing back against him.
"You want to play games?" Minho whispered, his voice a dangerous, velvet promise against Jisung’s skin. "You want to see how much I can take before I break you?"
He didn't wait for an answer. Minho shifted his grip, his hands sliding down to Jisung’s thighs and hoisting him up. He stood from the sofa with a grunt of effort, never breaking the contact, and began to walk toward the hallway. Jisung wrapped his legs tightly around Minho’s waist, his arms locked around his neck, his face buried in the crook of Minho’s shoulder.
Every step Minho took sent a fresh jolt of friction through Jisung’s body. He was undone, his mind a haze of heat and peppermint and the feeling of Minho’s strength.
They reached Minho’s room, the door clicking shut behind them with a finality that made Jisung’s heart race. Minho didn't put him down. He backed Jisung against the door, the cool wood a stark contrast to the heat of their bodies.
"The rules are different in here, Jisung-ah," Minho said, his voice low and steady, though his eyes were burning. He reached down and gripped Jisung’s chin, forcing him to look up. "Out there, you can tease. You can play your games. But in here, you are mine. Completely. Do you understand?"
"Yes," Jisung breathed, his eyes wide and sparkling with tears of arousal. "I’m yours."
"Then stop moving," Minho commanded.
Jisung froze, his body trembling with the effort of staying still. The sudden lack of motion was almost as agonizing as the friction had been. He looked at Minho, pleading with his eyes, but the older boy remained unmoved.
"You want to grind on me?" Minho asked, his hand sliding down to rest heavily over the bulge in Jisung’s pajama pants. "You want to take what you want without asking?"
"I... I’m sorry," Jisung whispered, though he didn't sound sorry at all.
"Don't be sorry," Minho said, his thumb beginning to move in a slow, agonizing circle. "Be ready. Because I’m going to give you exactly what you were asking for. But you’re going to work for it. You’re going to stay perfectly still until I tell you otherwise."
Jisung let out a small, shaky sob, his head falling back against the door. The discipline was back, but it was different now—intimate, sexual, and utterly consuming. He watched as Minho began to move against him, a slow, deliberate friction that was designed to tease rather than satisfy.
"Look at me, Jisung," Minho ordered.
Jisung opened his eyes, his vision blurred. He saw the blonde hair, the sharp cheekbones, and the look of absolute, unwavering devotion in Minho’s eyes. He realized then that this wasn't just about punishment or control. It was about connection. It was about the way they fit together, the way Minho’s strength balanced Jisung’s vulnerability.
"I love you," Jisung gasped, the words tumbling out of him before he could stop them.
Minho stilled. The intensity in his eyes softened for a fraction of a second, replaced by a look of such profound tenderness that it took Jisung’s breath away. He leaned in, his forehead resting against Jisung’s.
"I love you too, you brat," Minho whispered. "Now, are you going to behave, or do I have to remind you why I’m the lead dancer?"
Jisung let out a wet, shaky laugh, his arms tightening around Minho’s neck. "Remind me. Please."
The rest of the night was a blur of heat and friction and whispered promises. Minho was thorough, his movements as precise as his choreography, his touch as firm as his discipline. He pushed Jisung to the brink and held him there, teaching him the value of patience and the beauty of surrender.
When the sun finally began to rise, casting a pale, golden light over the room, they were tangled together in the sheets, their breathing slow and synchronized. Jisung was curled into Minho’s side, his burgundy hair a mess against the blonde strands on the pillow.
Minho was awake, his fingers idly tracing the red marks he had left on Jisung’s hips. He looked down at the younger boy, his expression soft and uncharacteristically peaceful.
"You okay?" Minho asked, his voice a low rumble.
Jisung hummed, a small, sleepy smile on his lips. "I’m perfect. Best lesson I’ve ever had."
Minho chuckled, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of Jisung’s head. "Don't get used to it. You still have to do those extra laps today. And if I see you grinding on anything in the practice room, there will be consequences."
Jisung groaned, burying his face in Minho’s chest. "You’re so mean, hyung."
"I’m your mean," Minho reminded him, his hand sliding down to give Jisung’s backside a final, possessive squeeze. "And don't you forget it."
"I won't," Jisung promised, his eyes closing as he drifted back into a deep, dreamless sleep.
As the city woke up around them, the dancer and his rapper remained in their own private world, a world built on the friction of their personalities and the steady, grounding force of their love. The "daddy" nickname might have started as a joke, and the grinding might have started as a provocation, but in the end, it was the love that remained—the fierce, protective, and undeniably domestic love of Lee Minho and Han Jisung.
They had found their rhythm, a dance of power and vulnerability that was uniquely theirs. And as long as they had each other, they knew they could handle whatever music the world threw at them. Even if it involved a few extra laps and a lot more "lessons" in the recording booth.
Minho watched Jisung sleep for a long time, a rare, genuine smile on his face. He reached out and tucked the duvet around Jisung’s shoulders, his movements gentle and full of care. He had spent his whole life building shields, but with Jisung, he didn't need them. He had found someone who saw the tyrant and the mentor and the lover, and loved them all equally.
"Sleep well, Jisung-ah," Minho whispered, closing his own eyes at last. "We have a big day tomorrow."
And in the silence of the room, the only sound was the synchronized beating of two hearts, finally finding their perfect, shared rhythm in the golden hour of their lives.
