The Stardust Trio
. My idea for this new fanfiction is, it is the Marauders era, with James, Sirius, and Peter and Lily being the Marauders. And Remus Lupin actually never went to Hogwarts, nobody knows him whatsoever. And so, like, no one knows Remus Lupin at all. He is not in Hogwarts. The fourth Marauder is Lily Evans. Lily and James are dating. The whole of the Marauders are big bullies, and they're just very mean and obnoxious, and believe that everything that isn't light, everything that has a hint of dark magic or anything that isn't just good light spell, anyone that dares to question Albus Dumbledore is dark, evil, and basically a blood supremacist or whatever. It is Samhain night, though the Gryffindors, under the direction of Dumbledore, call it Halloween, because they renounce, like, the old ways. The Slytherins actually call Samhain by its real name, Samhain, because it is the ancient tradition of Samhain night, of the night where the veil between life and death is the thinnest. In Samhain night, Dumbledore stands up, and so the Slytherins are very quiet and calm. There is Regulus and Severus, who are sitting at their table, Slytherin table, very calm. They are actually dating, which is one of the reasons why the Marauders pick on them so much. But no one outside of Slytherin House and the Marauders know that. Slytherin House is pretty protective towards Regulus and Severus. They can't do much to help them, but anytime they can, they will help them, because Slytherins protect each other. And so Dumbledore stands up, and he clinks his glass, and he basically goes, yes, so we are going to have three new transfer students. I do hope you'll, like, make them feel welcome. And then the doors, and then he waits, and nothing happens. So nothing happens, and he goes, he turns to Filch, and he asks, and he, like, murmurs some words. Filch goes out of the Great Hall, comes back, and he goes, they're not here, Headmaster. Dumbledore is, like, dumbfounded, and he goes, what do you mean they're not here? Filch goes, they're not here. And so about, so there's, like, this slight unease that's in the air. And about ten minutes later, three students cross the doors and enter the Great Hall. The first one isBellatrix Black. But Bellatrix Lestrange rather. But she is not Bellatrix Lestrange. She is, um, Bellatrix Lavigne. No. She is Bellatrix d'Argent. Okay? Bellatrix d'Argent. And the point of, basically, I'm going to give you a bit of backstory here. The backstory is that in this parallel universe of Hogwarts fanfiction, so Remus Lupin does not exist. And that's the end of story. Bellatrix Black or Bellatrix Lestrange, whichever, they do not exist in this universe too. So they just don't exist. The two Black sisters are Andromeda and Narcissa, and they have both already graduated school. So there's no Bellatrix in the story. Now, these three students that are the new transfers are actually Bellatrix d'Argent, previously Bellatrix Lestrange, Remus Lavigne, previously Remus Lupin, and Tom Riddle, previously, and Tom Nagais, Tom Nagais, previously Tom Riddle. Now, the three of them, Tom and Remus are actually dating, they're together. And Bellatrix is Tom's best friend. And so the story, their backstory is that in the previous world, so Harry Potter canon, Dumbledore actually manipulated Tom during his school years to become twisted and insane and manipulated him towards the Horcruxes, that's why he was insane. Bellatrix, she was never destined for the Black madness and becoming insane. But Dumbledore manipulated her and placed many magical blockings on her core to make her twisted. But, so that's why she joined the Death Eaters. And even when Tom was insane, Bellatrix was basically the only person that could make him a bit more sane. She was his best friend, even during their time as a Death Eater. And when Bellatrix actually got sent to Azkaban after Voldemort tried and failed to kill Harry Potter, he completely lost it and he became even more insane because his one anchor was gone. And so the blocks that Dumbledore put on him were twisting his core, Bellatrix too. And they were just basically both of them insane because of what Dumbledore had done to them. Then there's Remus Lupin. So Remus Lupin still has the scars on his face from like being a werewolf. Like he has a few scars like on his neck. He, in like the original world, he was a werewolf and he was a Marauder. But Dumbledore twisted that. So basically, Remus never wanted to be a Marauder because he didn't want to bully, he's not a bully at heart. And he does not want to be a bully in any way. But Dumbledore like placed magical blockings on him and bound his wolf. And so instead of having like a symbiotic relationship with his wolf, with being able to shift painlessly during full moons, his wolf, like they can talk to each other. His wolf is actually referred to as Moony, so Moony is the wolf entity inside him. And he's supposed to have a symbiotic relationship with it. But because of all the blocks and mutations Dumbledore and the Marauders put on him, he basically has no control and became like this feral werewolf. And upon their deaths, so what happened, Harry Potter, Voldemort, upon their deaths, the three of them go to the plane of the dead. And there they meet Lady Magic, who is actually very happy because she pulled the "you owe me" of Lord Death, because Lord Death owed her about something. So she pulled the I.O.U. card and explained to them that what was did to them by Dumbledore was unacceptable, and that she would not stand for this. And so she sends them back. But this time, she sends them back together. And she sends them back as 15-year-olds in this castle in France, which is basically a castle who is under the water in the lac. So Lady Magic is actually sending them back to France in this new universe in the past. And they live with Lady Magic's wife. So her wife is Lady Viviane. So Viviane, la Dame du Lac. Donc la Dame Viviane du Lac of the Arthurian legends, the maker of Excalibur, like the Lady of the Lake, one, the oldest living high fay of the world. And so the three of them are sent by Lady Magic to live with her wife, Lady Viviane, in the lake when they are, and they are reincarnated as 15-year-olds. And so they spend one whole year with Lady Viviane training. And Lady Magic often comes visits them, and she asks them to call her Lady Cassiopeia or Aunt Cassie. And so Lady Magic becomes Aunt Cassiopeia to them, and Lady Viviane becomes Aunt Vivi to them. And basically like their broken childhoods and all their traumatization is healed slowly, slowly, slowly. And so Remus and Tom start dating, Bellatrix is like this protective best friend slash older sister. She kind of adopts Remus. And so they all live like their life happily for one year as like this weird, a bit family. And so upon their 16th birthdays, Viviane and Cassiopeia tell them that there's a reason Cassiopeia negotiated with Lord Death to bring them back. It's because they need to set things right. Since Remus was not exactly born correctly in this timeline, and Tom and Bellatrix either, there is no Dark Lord. Instead, it is Grindelwald who is still alive. It is Grindelwald's son. So Grindelwald's son has named Caspian, has taken the title of Voldemort. And he has his own followers. And Dumbledore, not having Remus like to manipulate because he doesn't even know Remus Lupin exists, so that's why Lily Evans became the fourth Marauder. So they're still bigots, same thing. And so Cassiopeia and Viviane tell them that if they want to set things right, they need and destroy like Dumbledore's power and make him pay for all the misery that he put in their childhood, they have to go to Hogwarts. And so they go to Hogwarts undercover, saying that they were homeschooled before in France, and that they're coming back to England to be schooled correctly. So all the characters are 16. So Bellatrix is 16, Tom is 16, Remus is 16, the Marauders, the bullies, the bigots, they're also 16. So James Potter, Lily Evans, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black are all 16. Severus Snape and Regulus Black are also both 16. They are also both dating, as mentioned previously. That is also, as mentioned previously, one of the reasons why the Marauders pick on them so much. That was basically it for the backstory. Now, moving on to continuing the story story. The three kids enter the Great Hall. And so the first one is Beatrix. Beatrix at that point is wearing, she is wearing a strapless black maxi dress with a semi-sheer flowing chiffon overlay that reveals a shorter lining underneath. A structured strapless black satin corset with a hook and eye closures down the front to cinch the waist. A long-line sheer black duster cardigan with long sleeves and an open front designed to layer over the outfit. High-heeled platform ankle boots featuring a lace-up detailing and a chunky heel, a multi-layered draped statement silver necklace with shiny black beads and a silver star and moon. Distressed fingerless black mesh gloves worn over long pointed black acrylic nails. A chunky black statement ring, a long curved hairpiece slash feather ear cuff with black raven feathers on her ear. Remus Lupin is wearing a brown and beige plaid colored button-up shirt worn underneath a solid brown knit sweater vest, high-waisted wide-leg corduroy trousers in a rich chocolate brown color, classic high-top Converse sneakers in a matching dark brown hue, a black beaded bracelet with the moon and star and sun on it, a delicate gold crescent moon ring, and a feather and bone drop earring from his ear. A stacked woven boho bracelet, an old-fashioned brass pocket watch, and a kind of an adventurer satchel hanging from his shoulders to his waist, kind of, worn mesh leather satchel. Tom is wearing a long double-breasted trench coat in a dark chocolate brown, a beige and brown checkered tweed vest and a notched label, a crisp white collared dress shirt paired with slim black necktie, tailored straight-leg dress trousers in a dark charcoal or black hue. Burnished dark brown leather lace-up boots with a sleek pointed toe, a dark brown leather thigh-drop holster bag with a belt strap. A heavy silver statement ring set with a large emerald-cut green gemstone and a smaller snake ring on his finger, a decorative vintage cuff earring with natural bird feathers with blue and gray on his ear. So the three kids, 16-year-olds, all wear a different colored ear cuff with feathers on their ear. Dumbledore and Filch do a double take seeing them, and some of the students do too. And Dumbledore immediately asks, "Where have you been?" To which the three kids answer, "We just arrived." To which Dumbledore says, "But you weren't there when we opened the door ten minutes ago." And to which one of the three kids answers, "Because we hadn't arrived yet." To which Dumbledore goes, "What?" And to which one of the kids again replies, "Your letter, which we received, stated that we should arrive on summerhine night, at nine thirty on the dot. Ten minutes ago was nine twenty. It is now nine thirty on the dot. We have arrived." To which Dumbledore started spluttering, and finished, next to him, started, like, muttering about ingrateful students and brats. To which the three new kids looked at each other, looked back at Filch, looked back at each other, and went, "The letter said to arrive at nine thirty on the dot. We arrived at nine thirty on the dot. What is it you people have? What is the problem you people seem to have with schedules and punctuality?" Or something along those lines. And that seemed to shut Dumbledore up, to which Dumbledore goes, "Yes, well then, students, as I was saying, these three are new exchange students. They come from being homeschooled to being at Hogwarts. I hope you'll be acclimating to them." And so, he stands up, and when he stands up, like, his robes shimmer, and they're these, like, horrid plum robes with red and gold stars on them, which, like, really do not, like, clash with his whole complexion. And so when he stands up and he shows his full outfit, the Gryffindors are, like, staring at him in awe, and the Slytherins are, like, trying not to look at Dumbledore because that outfit is an insult to their families and to their fashion sense. And Bellatrix visibly, like, she just cringes at the outfit and, like, does not try to bother hiding her expression at all. Just cringes at the outfit, looks Dumbledore up and down and cringes again. And Dumbledore, like, looks at her, and she looks back, and there's, like, this small staring contest, which is stopped by Remus going, like, murmuring something in her ear. And so Bellatrix, like, nods. Dumbledore, like, does a flick of his wand, and the Sorting Hat appears. He beckons the three students, so the three walk through the tables, amidst, like, the stares of the new students, and, like, they talk about their outfits because they're all, like, dressed a certain, they have all, the three of them have a very specific style each. And they have, like, the similar, like, ear cufflinks with the feathers, so there's a bit of whispers around them. To which as they approach the Sorting Hat, Bellatrix steps up, and the Sorting Hat, she puts the Sorting Hat on her head and sits down on the stool. Immediately the Sorting Hat goes, "Bellatrix d'Argent!" And there's, like, a very brief minute pause, like, the Sorting Hat seems to get his bearings, and he goes, "No! No! No! No! No! No!" And so the hall is in shock because the Sorting Hat has never, like, ever talked out loud before, and he has never, like, refused a student. And Bellatrix goes, "Ah! Well, that's just rude!" And the Sorting Hat goes, "That's not rude, what are you doing here?" And Bellatrix goes, deadpan, "I'm the new transfer." And the Sorting Hat goes, "Ah! How are you the new transfer?" And the Bellatrix caught his spluttering, and she goes, "Cassiopeia said yes." And the hat looks at Bellatrix, like, he tilts down to look at Bellatrix, then he goes back up, and he looks at Tom and Remus, who are standing in front of Bellatrix, and he goes, "Cassiopeia said yes." And Tom solemnly nods, like, this is the most normal conversation ever, and he goes, "She said yes." And then Remus goes at him, the hat turns to him, and he said, "Vivian told me to tell you that, in case this happened, something about a black wasp and a bee? Oh, and hibiscus flowers." And then the hat seems to, like, splutter again, and he goes, "What the? Vivian too!" And Remus nods solemnly, and he says, "She said yes, they both did." And the hat keeps spluttering, but he mutters, and he goes, "Fine, we'll have a talk with... And he calls out, "Slytherin for Bellatrix." Bellatrix takes the hat out, Tom starts walking, and the hat immediately goes, "Yeah, no, both of you boys, Slytherin too. I, no, Slytherin, and goodbye." And the hat starts muttering to himself about students who should not be where they should be. And without turning back, Tom, Remus, and Bellatrix, they follow Bellatrix to the Slytherin table. And without turning back, Tom, Remus, in a very muggle move, lifts a middle finger and flips the hat off without looking, and yells in the quiet room, in the quiet hall, "Cassiopeia said yes!" And so they make their way to the Slytherin table, and they sit down. And that seems to, like, break the spell, so everybody resumes back to talking about how that was weird. And so at their table, the three of them do not sit, and they make their way to the Slytherin table, and they sit at the very bottom of the Slytherin sixth-year table. So they don't sit anywhere near the top, because in Slytherin, there is a hierarchy that is known only to Slytherin students, that is specific to Slytherin students, and that the teachers and other students have no idea of. That hierarchy is that the highest in the house sit at the front of the table, the lowest in the house sit at the bottom of the table. And the very last seats of the table, the very most bottom seats at the table, those are the seats that say, like, those are the seats of the people who voluntarily outcast themselves. So the people who will not, like, by sitting there, because three of them, they sit there, and by sitting there, they are basically stating to the whole of Slytherin house without saying a word, "We know your hierarchy games, we know your little political hierarchy games, and we will not participate in them. We will stay out." And so, at the head of the table, and they start talking in, like, quiet words, and they are talking in this very, like, language that none the Slytherins know. And it's a language made up of harsh, cutting sounds, no melodic at all, just very harsh, and it is the language of the desert. And that is, so there, for further reference, very harsh-sounding language. And at the head of the Slytherin table, there are Severus and Regulus who are sitting together, along with a few other Slytherins, including the Slytherin prefect whose name is Cygnus. There is also Lucius Malfoy sitting there, who, Lucius is a seventh-year prefect, Cygnus is also a seventh-year prefect. They're all talking, and, like, they're talking about what happened that, like, what just happened and who these new people are, and, like, what exactly happened, the hat, the way they dress, the way they talk, that language they're speaking together, the way they seem to know about their hierarchy. They basically talk about everything. Then dinner ends, and all of the children, students, they make their way out. And the three of them, they slowly stand up and they seem to talk. And Bellatrix and Tom and Remus are talking to each other. And that is the point where, so the Slytherin head table notices, like, the scars on Remus's neck. Those scars everybody noticed, they're very visible. But in the light of the flickering flames, that was the only scar that they noticed. But once they exited the hall, when the corridors were much darker, Tom and Bellatrix, you could see scars on them too, but their scars were, like, the silver that only, like, appeared in flames. Whereas Remus's scars were almost non-existent, now that there was no light. And so Remus and Tom were quietly talking, and Bellatrix breaks apart from their group, and she strides towards the children of the Slytherin head table who are exiting the hall, taps Lucius on the shoulder without, like, any care of whatever protocol, she just taps him on the shoulder and goes, "You, prefect, yes?"bothering to wait for an answer, she goes, do you have toilets in this great, soggy British castle of yours? to which Lucius looks at her and replies, soggy, to which she answers, do you need a dictionary? Like there's like one or two seconds of silence, then she looks at Lucius and she goes, toilets? And he goes, he points to the right corridor, and she says, thanks, mate, and leaves, and like Lucius and like the other prefect and Severus and Regulus are like kind of dumbfounded because like, who calls Lucius Malfoy a prefect and a Malfoy, mate? And she goes back towards Tom and Regulus, and no, she goes back towards Tom and Severus, and she points to the corridor where the toilets are, and Tom and Remus look at her, look back at the group, look at her, and immediately in like perfect synchronization, the three of them point to the opposing corridor, and they start walking down that corridor. So the people who sit there at head of the table, they're very puzzled of like the whole interaction and the whole going down the wrong corridor on purpose. Anyways, they make their way to Slytherin common room, and they arrive, like they lounge a bit around the castle because Slytherins always like to be the last ones to enter their common room, in case, you know, anything bad happens, they want to be the last ones in. So they enter the common room, and there they find near the fire, like on a lounging sofa, Remus and Tom, who are lounging together, Remus's head on Tom's shoulder, with Bellatrix like braiding, kind of like stroking through Tom's hair, while Tom reads a book and quietly talks, and the three of them are quietly talking in their mysterious, raucous language. So students fall in, and most of them have like a lot of questions about how, why, what, what exactly happened in the hall, how did they enter here without a password. And the prefects, like, Regulus, arrives, and he looks at them, and he goes, how did you enter here? You entered the common room without a password, or something along those lines. And Tom looks up and he goes, it appears so. to, all the Slytherin starts, like Lucius Malfoy starts asking questions about, uh, Regulus starts asking questions too, and Cygnus steps in, and Cygnus goes, um, "Hello, I am Cygnus, the seventh year Slytherin prefect. This is Lucius Malfoy, the other Slytherin seventh year prefects. We are in our last year, so if you need any help, ask, please ask us anything. These are Severus and Regulus." And this time, Remus lifts his head, looks at them, nods towards the two prefects, and like, he goes, "Okay." Bellatrix lifts her head too, and the three of them, Tom, Remus, and Bellatrix, just like, stare at Regulus and Severus, and they kind of like have like a soft, like, Bellatrix had like this soft smile, and she shares like a knowing eye glint with Remus. And then they both look at Tom, and Tom's like, "Mm-hmm. I know." And they all just like smile, and then they stand up, and they like leave the common room to go to dormitory. And that's basically the end of the night.
