Velvet desire

The Altar of Silence and Silk

The gold anklet felt heavier than it looked. As Jisoo sat on the edge of the expansive bed, the morning light catching the polished metal, she realized it wasn't just jewelry; it was a physical manifestation of Taehyung’s psyche. It was a tether. He had stripped her of her career, her colleagues, and her freedom, replacing them with a gilded cage and the constant, suffocating heat of his presence.

Taehyung walked back into the room, his hair damp from the shower, a towel slung low around his hips. He looked like a masterpiece of violence—scars from knife wounds and bullet holes marring his olive skin, contrasted by the expensive, refined scent of sandalwood. His eyes immediately locked onto her ankle, a dark, satisfied smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

"It suits you," he said, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through the floorboards. "The gold looks beautiful against your skin. It tells everyone who looks at you that you are claimed. That you are sacred."

Jisoo looked up, her eyes soft but weary. "There is no one to look at me, Taehyung. You’ve made sure of that. I’m a ghost in this house."

Taehyung was across the room in a heartbeat. He dropped to his knees between her legs, his large hands gripping her thighs with possessive force. He tilted his head back, his gaze burning into hers. "You aren't a ghost. You are the heartbeat of this entire empire. If you weren't here, I would burn Seoul to the ground just to feel something. You are the only thing that is real to me."

He leaned forward, pressing his forehead against her stomach. He stayed there for a long moment, breathing her in, his hands sliding up to the hem of her silk robe. Jisoo felt the familiar swell in her chest, the heavy, aching pressure that had become her constant companion. Her body was so attuned to his needs that even the sound of his voice could trigger the flow.

"I’m empty, Jisoo," he whispered against the fabric. "The world is so loud today. I can still hear the screams from the warehouse last night. I need you to drown them out."

Jisoo sighed, her heart aching for the broken man hidden beneath the monster's skin. She reached for the ties of her robe, letting the silk slide off her shoulders to reveal her breasts, full and leaking tiny, translucent droplets that shimmered like pearls.

Taehyung didn't wait. He let out a shaky breath and latched onto her, his mouth warm and demanding. The sound of his rhythmic swallowing filled the quiet room, a primal, intimate melody that spoke of a bond deeper than marriage and darker than love. He drank with a desperate hunger, his hands moving to her back, pulling her chest flush against his face as if he wanted to merge their bodies into one.

"Slow down," she breathed, her head falling back as a wave of oxytocin flooded her system. "I’m not going anywhere. I’m right here."

"You have to be," he muttered between gulps, his eyes half-closed in ecstasy. "If you ever left, I’d stop breathing. I’d kill every living soul until I found you."

He moved to the other side, his tongue swirling around the sensitive peak, coaxing more from her. He was obsessed with the taste, the warmth, the very idea that she was producing life specifically for him. To Taehyung, this wasn't just nourishment; it was a ritual of submission and devotion. He was the King of the underworld, but here, at her breast, he was a subject worshipping his only God.

When he finally pulled away, his face was flushed, his eyes glazed with a mixture of lust and peace. He looked up at her, a stray drop of milk clinging to his chin. Jisoo reached out, her thumb catching the drop and rubbing it into his lip.

"Is the noise gone?" she asked softly.

"For now," he replied, his voice raspy. He stood up, pulling her with him. He didn't let her put her robe back on. He liked her exposed, vulnerable, and marked by his touch. "But I want more. I want to feel you move under me until I can't remember my own name."

He pushed her back onto the bed, the mattress sinking under their combined weight. Taehyung’s hands were everywhere—mapping her curves, bruising her skin with the intensity of his grip. He was a man possessed, a man who viewed his wife not as a person, but as a part of his own soul that he had to constantly reclaim.

"Taehyung, the door..." she gasped as his mouth moved down to her stomach, his teeth grazing the soft flesh.

"Locked," he growled. "Every entrance to this wing is guarded by men who value their lives. No one enters. No one hears. You are mine to do with as I please."

He stripped her remaining lace underwear away, his eyes widening as he took in the sight of her. He moved between her thighs, his fingers working to open her, his touch both worshipful and demanding. Jisoo cried out as he found her center, her body reacting with a violence that matched his own. She was innocent, yes, but Taehyung had corrupted her in the best way possible, teaching her body to crave the very darkness that should have terrified her.

He entered her in one swift, powerful motion. Jisoo’s breath hitched, her fingers digging into his bicep as he filled her completely. He didn't move at first; he simply stayed there, buried deep within her, his eyes searching hers for any sign of resistance. Finding only love and surrender, he began to move.

The pace was relentless. Taehyung drove into her with a ferocity that bordered on desperation. Every thrust was a statement of ownership, a brand burned into her soul. He wanted her to feel him in her bones, to know that she was his property, his sanctuary, and his addiction.

"Look at me," he commanded, his voice a guttural rasp.

Jisoo opened her eyes, her vision blurred by tears of pleasure. Taehyung’s face was a mask of raw, unadulterated obsession. He looked like he wanted to devour her, to pull her inside his chest and keep her there where the world could never touch her.

"Whose are you?" he asked, his pace quickening, his breath coming in short, jagged gasps.

"Yours," she cried out, her back arching off the bed. "I’m yours, Taehyung! Always!"

"Say my name. Tell me who owns you."

"Taehyung... Kim Taehyung owns me," she sobbed, her climax beginning to roll over her in waves.

He let out a roar, his own release hitting him with the force of a physical blow. He collapsed against her, his face buried in the crook of her neck, his body trembling as he poured himself into her. They stayed like that for a long time, the only sound the frantic beating of two hearts trying to become one.

Later, as the sun climbed higher in the sky, Taehyung sat up and pulled Jisoo into his lap. He wrapped a silk sheet around both of them, his arms acting as a second layer of protection. He picked up a brush from the nightstand and began to slowly, methodically brush her long, dark hair.

"I’ve had the library moved," he said conversationally, as if they hadn't just shattered the silence with their passion. "All your books, your lesson plans... everything is in the sunroom now. It has the best security. You can teach your lessons there through the video link I’ve set up for your students."

Jisoo stiffened. "A video link? You’re really not letting me go back, even for the finals?"

Taehyung stopped brushing. He leaned forward, his lips brushing her ear. "I told you, Jisoo. The world is too dangerous for something as precious as you. Yesterday, a man sent you flowers. Tomorrow, someone might try to take a photo of you. The day after, they might try to touch you. I won't risk it."

"You’re suffocating me," she whispered, though there was no bite in her words, only a profound sadness.

Taehyung turned her around, his hands cupping her face. His eyes were wide, frantic. "I am keeping you alive! I am keeping us alive! If someone took you, I would have to kill everyone. Thousands would die, Jisoo. Do you want that blood on your hands?"

"No," she breathed, defeated by his twisted logic.

"Then stay here. With me. I will give you everything. Diamonds, silk, the finest food, the rarest books. I will worship you every hour of every day. I will feed from you and I will protect you until my last breath. Isn't that enough?"

Jisoo looked at him—this beautiful, terrifying man who was a God to the world and a beggar at her feet. She saw the madness in his eyes, the deep-seated fear of loss that drove his every action. She knew that he was right; he couldn't function without her. He was a monster, but he was *her* monster.

"It’s enough," she said, her voice barely a whisper.

Taehyung’s expression broke into a smile of pure, child-like relief. He kissed her forehead, her eyelids, and finally her lips. "Good. My good, sweet Jisoo."

He reached for the bell on the nightstand, ringing it once. A few moments later, a soft knock sounded at the door.

"Leave it," Taehyung commanded.

He waited until he heard the footsteps retreat before he stood up, wrapped in a robe, and opened the door. He returned with a silver tray laden with fresh fruit, cream, and expensive pastries. He sat back on the bed and began to feed her, piece by piece, as if she were a delicate bird he had captured and intended to keep forever.

"I have to go to the city for a few hours," he said, his thumb wiping a bit of cream from her lip. "There is a shipment coming in that needs my personal attention. I’ve doubled the guards at your door. Don't try to leave the suite."

"I wouldn't dream of it," she said, her eyes dropping to the gold anklet.

Taehyung noticed her gaze. He leaned down and kissed the gold, his tongue flickering against her skin. "I’ll be back by sunset. I’ll be hungry again by then. Make sure you’re ready for me."

"I’m always ready for you, Taehyung."

He dressed quickly, shifting back into the cold, untouchable Mafia King. He strapped his holster over his shoulder, the dark metal of the gun glinting in the sunlight. He looked at her one last time, a look of such intense longing that it made her breath catch.

"If you need anything, tell the guards. Anything at all. Except for the key." He touched the small gold key hanging from a chain around his neck. "This stays with me."

With that, he walked out, the heavy door locking with a definitive, electronic thud.

Jisoo sat in the silence of the room, the scent of him still heavy in the air. She walked over to the window and pulled back the curtain. Below, she saw the black SUVs idling, the men in suits standing like statues around the perimeter. She saw Taehyung emerge from the house, his stride confident and lethal. Before he stepped into his car, he looked up at her window. He didn't wave; he simply stared, his hand resting over his heart.

She watched him drive away, the gates closing behind him like the teeth of a trap. She was the Queen of a blood-soaked throne, the life-giver to a man who dealt in death. She walked to the mirror and looked at herself—the marks on her neck, the gold on her ankle, the fullness of her breasts.

She was his obsession. She was his peace. And as she felt the milk begin to pulse in her chest again, a slow, bittersweet smile spread across her face. She was exactly where she was meant to be. In the heart of the darkness, she was the only light, and she would burn for him until there was nothing left but ash.

She spent the afternoon in the sunroom, her "new" classroom. It was beautiful, filled with every flower imaginable—except for the ones Mr. Choi had sent. These were white lilies and deep red roses, Taehyung’s favorites. She sat at the mahogany desk and opened her laptop, the faces of her students appearing on the screen.

"Good morning, Mrs. Kim!" they chirped in unison.

"Good morning, children," she said, her voice steady despite the gold chain rattling against her skin as she moved. "Today, we’re going to talk about the concept of 'home'."

As she spoke, she knew her every word was being recorded, every gesture analyzed by Taehyung’s security team. He was probably watching her right now from his phone, his thumb tracing her image on the screen while he decided who lived and who died.

The thought should have revolted her, but instead, it sent a shiver of dark heat through her. She was the center of his universe. She was the reason he kept the world spinning. And as the sun began to dip below the horizon, she felt the familiar ache returning, her body preparing for the return of its master.

She ended the lesson and waited. She didn't have to wait long. The sound of the heavy gates opening echoed through the estate. The King was home. And he was hungry.
