Finally
The Architecture of a Shared Secret
The morning light in the penthouse was unforgiving, cutting through the gaps in the blackout curtains to illuminate the wreckage of the previous night. Discarded silk, a stray cufflink, and two phones that had spent the last eight hours vibrating themselves into a state of thermal exhaustion.
Net was the first to wake. The weight of JJ’s head on his chest was a grounding reality that made the frantic pulse of the outside world feel like a distant radio frequency. He reached for his phone on the nightstand, his thumb hovering over the screen. The lock screen was a battlefield of notifications.
**[LINE] P’Ploy (Manager):** NET. CALL ME. THE BOARD IS LOSING IT. **[LINE] Keng:** I hope you’re happy. My phone is a brick. **[LINE] Latte:** Is he okay? Net, tell me he’s okay. **[TWITTER] Trending:** #NetJJReal #TheStairwellSecret #ECLIPSE_JJ
Net exhaled, a long, shaky breath. He unlocked the device and was immediately met with the official press release from the agency, posted at 2:00 AM.
*“Regarding the recent rumors surrounding Net Siraphop and JJ Radchapon, we wish to clarify that the two artists have been in a private, supportive relationship for a significant period. Out of respect for their privacy and the delicate nature of their professional growth, they chose to keep this bond out of the public eye. We ask for the fans' continued support as they navigate this new chapter openly.”*
It was a masterpiece of corporate ambiguity, but to the internet, it was a declaration of war.

**[GROUP CHAT: THE QUIET CIRCLE]**
**Kim:** @JJ_Radchapon if you don’t answer in five minutes, I’m calling the police. Or a locksmith. **Namping:** He’s not at the dorm. His bed hasn't been slept in. **Ohm:** We know where he is. We saw the photos. I’m just trying to figure out if I should be happy for him or if I should prepare to hide a body. **Kim:** Net Siraphop? Seriously? The guy who looks like he was carved out of expensive marble? Our JJ? **Namping:** Did you guys see the fan threads? They’re going insane. Someone dug up a clip from the 2021 Music Awards.
**[Link: Twitter Video - 0:15s]** *The camera is focused on JJ performing a solo dance. In the far, blurry background, Net is standing in the wings. He isn't watching the stage; he’s looking at his phone, but his head is tilted in a way that suggests he’s listening to the music with a terrifying intensity. When JJ hits the final high note, Net’s hand visibly tightens on the doorframe.*
**Ohm:** Okay, that’s creepy or romantic. I can’t decide. **Kim:** JJ, ANSWER US. Are you alive? Did he feed you?

A soft groan came from the man beside Net. JJ shifted, his eyes fluttering open, squinting against the glare of the phone screen. He looked soft, his hair a chaotic nest against the white pillowcase, the red marks on his collarbone a stark contrast to his pale skin.
"P’Net?" JJ’s voice was a raspy whisper. "Is it over?"
"It’s just beginning," Net said, his voice tender. He handed JJ his own phone, which was currently blowing up with messages from the ECLIPSE members.
JJ stared at the screen, his face paling as he read the group chat. "They know. Everyone knows. P’Net, the fans... look at this."
He scrolled through a viral thread on his timeline.
**@JJ_Lyrics_Bot:** "Wait. Look at the lyrics for 'Ghost Note' (2022). *'You were the velvet shadow in the back of the hall / I was the echo waiting for the call.'* We all thought he was talking about his trainee days. HE WAS TALKING ABOUT NET AT THE GALA."
**@Net’s_Watch:** "Check the date on Net’s 'Blue Mood' IG post from three years ago. The caption was just a music note emoji. That was the same day JJ released his first solo cover. I’m literally screaming. The geometry of this is insane."
**@Detective_Starlight:** "GUYS. I found a photo from a university festival six years ago. Net is in the VIP section. Look at the very edge of the frame. That’s JJ, a freshman, carrying a guitar case. Net is looking directly at him while everyone else is looking at the stage. THEY HAVE BEEN STRANGERS BY DESIGN SINCE DAY ONE."
JJ dropped the phone onto the duvet, his hands shaking. "They’re finding things I didn't even realize were there. I didn't even know he was at that festival."
"I was," Net admitted, pulling JJ closer until their foreheads touched. "I sat in the third row. I bought a ticket just to see if you’d actually perform. You didn't. You just stood by the soundboard and watched."
"I was too scared," JJ whispered.
"I know," Net said. "I was too."

**[LINE: Net, Latte, Keng]**
**Latte:** Net. I’m going to ask this once. Is this a PR stunt to save his reputation after the gala, or are you actually going to marry this boy? **Keng:** Because if it’s PR, you’re a genius. If it’s real, you’re a lunatic for waiting this long. **Net:** It’s real. **Latte:** ... **Keng:** ... **Latte:** Since when? **Net:** Since the stairwell at MU. **Keng:** That was six years ago, Siraphop. You’ve been pining for six years while we went to clubs and you pretended to be bored? **Net:** I wasn't pining. I was protecting. **Latte:** You were suffering, you dramatic idiot. Is he there? Is he okay? He looked like he was about to faint in those photos this morning. **Net:** He’s okay. He’s sleeping. **Keng:** Don't mess this up. He’s a good kid. If you break his heart, the ECLIPSE fans will literally burn down your penthouse. **Net:** I’m not breaking anything. I’m finally fixing it.

JJ watched Net type, a small, sad smile on his face. "Your friends are worried about me."
"They should be worried about me," Net joked, though his eyes were serious. "I’m the one who had to wait six years for a reply."
"I would have replied," JJ said, his voice gaining strength. He reached out, his fingers tracing the line of Net’s jaw. "If you had just said one word. If you had just stopped being a stranger for one second."
"I was afraid of the noise," Net said, leaning into the touch. "I liked the quiet way I loved you. It felt safe. But the noise is here now, JJ. Are you ready for it?"
JJ looked at his phone, then at the man who had turned his entire world upside down in less than twenty-four hours. The fear was still there, a cold knot in his stomach, but the warmth of Net’s body against his was stronger.
"As long as the noise stays outside this room," JJ said.
Net leaned down, capturing JJ’s lips in a kiss that was slow, deep, and tasted of new beginnings. It wasn't the frantic, desperate hunger of the night before. It was a promise.
"I’ll build a wall around this room if I have to," Net whispered against his skin.

An hour later, JJ had drifted back into a light sleep, exhausted by the emotional toll of the morning. The sunlight was now golden and warm, bathing the room in a soft glow.
Net sat up, watching him. He looked at his phone. His manager was still calling, the agency was still scrambling, and the world was still dissecting his every move.
He opened Instagram.
He didn't check the tags. He didn't look at the trending topics. He opened the story camera.
He took a photo. It was a close-up, black and white. It showed his own arm, the veins prominent, wrapped securely around a sleeping JJ. Only the side of JJ’s face was visible—the soft curve of his cheek, the long lashes, and the corner of the white T-shirt that was clearly Net’s.
There was no caption. No music. Just the raw, quiet reality of a secret that was no longer a secret.
He hit 'Post' before he could overthink it.

**@NetJJ_Updates:** "NET JUST POSTED A STORY. I REPEAT. NET SIRAPHOP JUST POSTED A STORY."
**@Idol_Observer:** "It’s not a PR stunt. Look at the way he’s holding him. That’s not a staged photo. That’s... that’s private. Why am I crying?"
**@ECLIPSE_Main:** "Is that JJ in Net’s bed? Wearing Net’s shirt? AT 11:00 AM? The agency said 'private relationship' but they didn't say 'living together and domestic bliss.' I’m literally vibrating."
**@Detective_Starlight:** "Notice the lighting. It’s Net’s penthouse. The same one he said he’d never show anyone because it was his 'only private space.' He just invited the whole world in for JJ."
**@User_9928:** "The 'Strangers by Design' are officially dead. Long live the lovers by choice."

Inside the penthouse, the phone on the nightstand continued to buzz, but Net had turned it face down. He lay back down, pulling JJ’s sleeping form back into the curve of his body.
JJ stirred, mumbling something incoherent in his sleep, and tucked his face into the crook of Net’s neck.
Net closed his eyes, a genuine, peaceful smile finally settling on his face. The design was gone. The script was burned. And for the first time in his life, Net Siraphop wasn't acting.
He was just home.
