The Weight of the Wedding Band
The silence of the apartment was no longer the oppressive, hollow void that Dex had spent his life trying to fill with the sound of gunfire or the rhythmic thud of a punching bag. Now, the silence was a heavy, velvet curtain, drawn tight by the man who sat across from him. Matt was currently dressed in a crisp white shirt, sleeves rolled up to reveal the corded muscles of his forearms, his tie discarded on the arm of the sofa. He was focused on a stack of braille documents, his fingers dancing over the raised dots with a speed that always mesmerized Dex.
Dex was currently positioned on the rug at Matt’s feet, his legs tucked beneath him. He was wearing the new garment Matt had provided—a sheer, floor-length white nightgown made of a material so delicate it felt like a second skin. It was virginal in color but scandalous in its transparency, clinging to the hard lines of his body. Around his neck, the silver collar remained, a constant, cool reminder of his status.
"You’re staring," Matt said, not looking up from his papers. His voice was a low vibration that seemed to travel through the floorboards and straight into Dex’s bones.
"I’m admiring my husband," Dex replied softly, the word *husband* tasting like honey and iron on his tongue. He reached out, tentatively resting his hand on Matt’s knee. "Is that allowed?"
Matt finally paused, his fingers resting on a line of text. He tilted his head, his heightened senses likely picking up the slight increase in Dex’s heart rate and the faint, sweet scent of the lotion Dex had applied to his skin earlier.
"It’s encouraged," Matt murmured. He reached down, his hand finding the back of Dex’s neck, his thumb grazing the edge of the silver collar. "But a good wife shouldn't just stare. She should be useful. My shoulders are tight, Benjamin. The day was long."
Dex was on his knees in an instant, moving behind Matt with the fluid, silent grace of a predator turned servant. He placed his hands on Matt’s shoulders, his fingers digging into the knots of tension that resided there. He worked with a focused intensity, his thumbs kneading the muscles with the same precision he used to calculate windage and elevation.
"Foggy was asking about you," Matt said, his head dropping forward as Dex found a particularly stubborn knot. "He thinks I’m spending too much time at home. He thinks I’m hiding something."
Dex stiffened for a fraction of a second, his hands faltering. The thought of the outside world intruding on their sanctuary was enough to make the white noise hiss at the edges of his mind. "What did you tell him?"
"I told him I’ve found a way to manage my stress," Matt replied, a dark, small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "I told him I have a very dedicated domestic assistant who looks after my every need."
Matt reached back, his hand catching Dex’s wrist and pulling him around to the front. He tugged until Dex was forced to straddle his lap, the sheer white fabric of the nightgown bunching up around his waist. Matt’s hands settled on Dex’s hips, his fingers tracing the faint, fading bruises from the night before.
"You’ve been very good today, Dex," Matt said, his voice dropping an octave. "I heard you cleaning the windows earlier. I heard the way you breathed when you were ironing my shirts. You were thinking about this, weren't you?"
"I’m always thinking about this," Dex confessed, his face flushing. He leaned forward, resting his forehead against Matt’s. "I think about how it feels when you look at me with your hands. I think about how much I want to please you."
Matt’s grip on his hips tightened, his nails digging slightly into the skin. "Then show me how much. I want to see how far you’re willing to go to be my perfect, obedient thing."
Matt reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, heavy object. He took Dex’s left hand, his fingers tracing the callouses on Dex’s palm before sliding a thick, plain platinum band onto Dex’s ring finger. The metal was heavy and cold, a physical manifestation of the invisible chains Matt had wrapped around him.
"You’re wearing my mark now, Benjamin," Matt whispered, his breath hot against Dex’s lips. "In this house, you are mine. You are my wife, my submissive, my secret. This ring means you belong to me, body and soul. Do you accept that?"
"Yes," Dex gasped, his eyes filling with tears of pure, unadulterated relief. He looked down at the ring, the sight of it anchoring him to the earth more firmly than any tactical mission ever had. "I accept. I’m yours. Totally yours."
Matt didn't wait for any further confirmation. He stood up, lifting Dex with him, and carried him toward the bedroom. He kicked the door shut behind them, the sound echoing like a gavel in the quiet apartment. He tossed Dex onto the bed, the sheer white gown fanning out around him like a cloud.
Matt moved with a slow, predatory deliberation as he stripped off his shirt. He didn't take off his trousers yet; he liked the contrast of his formal attire against Dex’s forced femininity. He crawled onto the bed, pinning Dex beneath him, his weight a grounding force that silenced the last of the static in Dex’s brain.
"I want to feel you open up for me," Matt commanded, his hands reaching down to find the hem of the white gown. He pushed it up, exposing Dex’s trembling form. "I want to feel how much you’ve been wanting this."
Matt reached for the nightstand, his fingers finding a small bottle of heavy, scented oil. He poured a generous amount onto his hand, the scent of sandalwood and musk filling the air. He began to work his fingers into Dex, his movements slow and methodical. He wasn't looking for a quick release; he was mapping the territory he owned, stretching Dex out with a clinical, punishing precision.
"You’re so responsive," Matt noted, his voice a low rasp. He added a second finger, then a third, his hand moving in a rhythmic, internal massage that made Dex’s back arch off the bed. "Every muscle in your body is screaming for me. Is this what you wanted, Dex? To be dismantled?"
"Please," Dex sobbed, his hands clutching at the silk sheets. "Please, Matt. I need you. I need to be full."
Matt withdrew his fingers, the slick, sliding sound making Dex whimper in loss. Matt stood up long enough to shed the rest of his clothes, his body a map of scars and muscle in the dim light. He stepped between Dex’s legs, his hands gripping Dex’s ankles and pushing them back toward his chest, exposing him completely.
"Look at the ring, Benjamin," Matt commanded as he positioned himself at the entrance. "Look at it and remember who is doing this to you."
Dex looked. The platinum band caught the stray light from the streetlamp outside, a silver glint of absolute ownership. As Matt pushed forward, entering him in one long, agonizingly slow thrust, Dex felt the ring press into his own skin, a dual sensation of internal and external possession.
"Oh God, Matt," Dex screamed, his eyes rolling back.
Matt began to move, his pace steady and relentless. He wasn't gentle; he drove into Dex with a controlled ferocity that left no room for anything else. Every strike was a reminder of the hierarchy, a reinforcement of the roles they had built for themselves. Matt reached down, his fingers finding Dex’s nipples through the thin fabric of the gown that still covered his upper body, pinching them with a sharp, insistent pressure.
"You’re my wife," Matt grunted, his teeth grazing the silver collar. "My pretty, obedient, broken wife. Say it."
"I'm your wife!" Dex wailed, his head tossing from side to side. "I'm yours! I'm nothing without you!"
The friction was building, a coil of white-hot tension in Dex’s gut that felt like it was going to shatter him. He felt the weight of the ring, the bite of the collar, and the overwhelming presence of the man who ruled him. It was a sensory overload that only Matt could provide, a way to turn the chaos of his mind into a singular, sharp point of pleasure and pain.
Matt’s pace quickened, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He shifted his grip, his hands sliding under Dex’s lower back to lift him higher, meeting every thrust with a devastating depth. The bed groaned under their combined weight, the sound of their bodies meeting a rhythmic staccato in the quiet room.
"I'm going to... I’m going to leave you so marked that you won't be able to walk straight tomorrow," Matt promised, his voice breaking with the effort of his control.
"Do it," Dex begged, his fingers clawing at Matt’s back, leaving long, red welts. "Mark me. Keep me."
With a final, violent surge, Matt buried himself as deep as possible, his body convulsing as he found his release. Dex followed instantly, his own climax a shattering explosion that left him gasping for air, his muscles twitching in the aftermath.
Matt didn't pull away. He collapsed onto Dex, his heavy weight a comforting shroud. He buried his face in the crook of Dex’s neck, his breath hot and wet against the silver collar. They stayed like that for a long time, the only sound the distant sirens of Hell’s Kitchen and the steady thrum of their hearts.
Slowly, Matt pulled back, but only far enough to look into Dex’s eyes. He reached out, his thumb tracing the line of the platinum ring on Dex’s finger.
"You’re wearing it," Matt whispered, a note of fierce satisfaction in his voice.
"I’m never taking it off," Dex replied, his voice small and certain.
Matt kissed the ring, then moved up to kiss Dex’s forehead. He rolled them over so they were lying side by side, Dex’s head resting on Matt’s shoulder. Matt pulled the duvet over them, tucking it around Dex with a tenderness that was almost more overwhelming than the sex.
"Sleep now, Benjamin," Matt murmured, his hand stroking Dex’s hair. "You have a lot to do tomorrow. The apartment needs a deep clean, and I want a three-course dinner by seven."
Dex smiled, a genuine, peaceful expression. He closed his eyes, the weight of the ring and the collar acting as a tether that kept him from drifting away into the dark.
"Yes, Matt," he whispered. "Whatever you want."
As the silence of the night settled over them, Dex felt the white noise fade into a distant, harmless hum. He was no longer a weapon waiting to be fired. He was a man with a home, a husband, and a ring that proved he belonged.
